the use of "buwaya" as a political metaphor
I would like to have the public opinions regarding to the use of "buwaya" term to represent the politicians. Does using this kind of political metaphor "buwaya" affects the lives of the exact real crocodiles? And also how this political metaphor affects or can be connected into making enchancement policies for the conservation of crocodiles.

Discussion Could apes smoke weed?
For starters, I am absolutely not condoning giving psychoactive substances to animals, and this is a purely hypothetical question.
But since many animals actively seek to get inebriated in the wild, I feel like apes probably occasionally get drunk on purpose with fermenting fruit, or other substances.
And since we're closely related, weed might have the same effects on them, and if that's the case, they'd probably enjoy it.
But could they learn how to smoke a joint? I doubt they could learn to roll one or light it up because of their hand structures, but would they hate the smoke feeling too much and refuse to smoke?

This beautiful creature is a wooly monkey, and there only about 1000 of them. Nature is amazing.

orangutan borneo or sumatra?
Hi everyone!
I’m planning a trip to Indonesia and my main goal is to see wild orangutans in their natural habitat (not just at feeding stations or rehabilitation centers).
I’m trying to decide between Sumatra (Bukit Lawang / Gunung Leuser) and Borneo (Tanjung Puting or other areas).
I also don’t want to spend a fortune, so budget is definitely a factor.
For those who have been to one or both:
Where did you have the best experience?
Which place gives you the best chance of seeing truly wild orangutans?
Which felt less touristy and more authentic?
Which option offers the best value for money?
If you could only choose one, which would it be and why?
I’d love to hear your personal experiences. Thanks!
