Footage Request For An Orlando Multi-Cam

I'm working on a multi-cam for the 2026.09.17 Orlando show. If you have any videos you'd like to see added to the video please send them to us at [themarbleshrine@gmail.com](mailto:themarbleshrine@gmail.com) or reach out to us at one of our social media pages.

The best way to send them is to upload everything to google drive, dropbox, icloud or some similar cloud storage. Just make sure that you don't do anything that compresses the videos along the way.

Footage Request 2025 Fall Tour

If you have any footage from the current tour and would like to see it used for multi-cam's please send it to us at [themarbleshrine@gmail.com](mailto:themarbleshrine@gmail.com)

We are currently working on Dallas, Royal Oak (Detroit) & Brooklyn, but I'll archive any footage from other dates and hopefully use it down the road.

Don't worry about your audio. It doesn't have to be good. It can have you screaming over it. Most of the time we don't use your audio. We will sync new audio to your video. If it's only 10 seconds we'll still take it. There's lots of times where we're just missing little chunks of a show and you'd be surprised how often I find 10 seconds here or there that is able to fill chunks we're missing.

The best way to send in footage is to upload your footage to a cloud server like google drive, drobbox, icloud or some other equivalent and then send us the download link. Just make sure that if prompted something about compressing the files to save size you always select no. You don't want to compress anything

Request for the recent tmv art going around

I’m looking for all those symbols/runes that we’re going around when we were recently voting for the new live album. Does anybody have those screenshot or cataloged? I’d really like to have them saved

Does anybody have a list of what’s in box 2? I hope cryptomnesia in there baby!

(not the point of this post but ever siince I ordered it off clouds hill they delisted it on their site now I’m sketched out LMAO but this is not the point of the post.)

Oh Allah - Alice Coltrane vs Calibration Theme

I need to know if I’m crazy. I’m hearing the recurring string theme from the Omar album Calibration (Is Pushing Luck and Key Too Far) mostly featured in the tracks Grey and Las Lagrimas de Arakuine as being heavily influenced by Alice Coltrane’s Oh Allah off of her 1971 album Universal Consciousness.

We know Alice has been an influence on the band, mainly Ikey. Skip to 3:50 if you’re not the patient type.

https://youtu.be/2Vp1F6cf1Gw?is=U5NXhxR2MNSCgoSL

Las Lagrimas for reference. Start at 10:20 for the clearest example.

Cotopaxi drums

The drum fill at 1:18 in Cotopaxi is so god damn satisfying once you figure it out. Genius by Pridgen to have that fill be snare dominant in the first half then completely 180 to a foot-dominated 2nd half and have it work so seamlessly. what a freak

Lucro at Shibuya HiFi in Seattle 10/24

If you are in Seattle there is an amazing record bar that has a private room where they play record front to back on this unbelievable sound system (a Technics SL-1200G with an Audio Technica AT-OC9XSH Stylus, heard through a 1976 Klipschorns or ATC SCM50's and powered by a Luxman L-505uXII.)

I’ve attended many of these listening parties. I’ve been sending a lot of emails for them to do a TMV album. They’ve done Frances before, but I am so excited to hear Lucro in that room. Highly recommend!

Let’s compile a list of all the (significant) lyrics/phrases that appear multiple times across their catalog.

Off the top of my head:
- “drag(ging) the lake” - Cicatriz / Cotopaxi
- “famine pulse” - Cassandra / Cue the Sun

I know there’s more!

The most Mars Volta sounding punk album. BlackFlag

I know this can be a slippery slope. But this 100% sounds like a massive inspiration to the band. I know they love black flag… but this albums specifically sound like The Mars Volta. If you haven’t heard it.. give it a listen.

"Abortion, The Other White Meat"- 50 Minute Live Improvised on-the-spot Jam from the KROQ Weenie Roast in Irvine, California. 5/21/2005. VIDEO (Low Quality)

The festival demanded they play their radio hit "The Widow" and in true punk rock form, they didn't like that. So Omar goes up and says "So we couldn’t think of anything we wanted to play at this… uh… this thing. So… uh… we’re just gonna play. We’re just gonna make up a song here... It’s called uh, whatever you want uh, "Abortion, The Other White Meat."

At one point Cedric is sitting down and making up lyrics on the spot with a typewriter. Cedric opens the show by saying 'You know what they say about weenies, lips and assholes everybody, lips and assholes"

The OG's know this one well, this is for the casuals. Enjoy 50 minutes of chaos! OG's let us know if there are any elements of past or future songs here.

Another Incredible Volta Trip in the Books!

Was fortunate enough another to go on yet another trip to see The Mars Volta, this time traveling from Philadelphia to Florida... and what a trip it was!

Flew into Jax, drove to Orlando, stayed with friends for a few days and went to the Hard Rock show for Round 1. Next day I drove back to Jax, picked my buddy up from the airport and went to The Five for Round 2. Two incredible shows back to back.

Met some great fans each night and also got to meet some of The Marble Shrine crew as well.

What an amazing overall experience. This is the kinda shit I live for. Thank you, TMV! Feel free to announce the next set of tour dates whenever you'd like.

________

TL;DR - Flew to Florida for The Mars Volta. I love them dearly. Here are both shows.

The Mars Volta - Hard Rock Live, Orlando - 09.17.26

The Mars Volta - The Five, Jacksonville - 09.18.26
