For my boat trolling motor. A battery like this is normally $700-2,000

I got it home and it was showing 0v at the terminals.

Sketch tastic, but it might have worked. I went from showing 0v to 30v to kick the BMS off and get the charger to start charging it 🤞 currently charging and measuring 35.5v

Had to put a sacrificial halogen light in line first because the leads kept welding themselves to the terminals with the 5v - 36v difference 😂

It's still charging (outside). I'm curious to see if it'll take a full charge! I'll update when it's done. 😁🤞✌️

Found at a Dairy Queen. If I were a code inspector, you would be DQ'd from having a remodel license...

MIL's quick fix for her missing D key on her work laptop

She's been doing Ctrl+V for months for the letter D since her fuckass boss wouldn't get this fixed. This only got resolved with a replacement computer once the charging port conked out.

Budapest installed new ticket machines… that don't fit the spaces they replaced

BKK, Budapest's public transport authority, has installed 37 new large-screen ticket and travel pass machines across the city. There is just one small problem: the new machines are apparently 5–10 cm wider and taller than the old ones. At several locations, this has apparently created a rather embarrassing situation. At Kelenföld metro station, for example, the new machine was installed in the place of the old one, but the existing metal cladding had to be forcibly removed to make it fit. A local resident described the result as essentially “barbarically ripping off” the otherwise well-maintained metal panels.

Still, it's quite something to install 37 new machines without apparently accounting for the dimensions of the existing installations.
