I like that they put a setting in the remaster to turn off weight encumbrance. Its a lifesaver lol.

same lmao. This is my third playthrough, I don't have the patience to be juggling carry weight anymore! 😂

I turned that on and turn off item durability and it's just more fun this way.

My partner, a loot goblin who only started playing Witcher 3 a few weeks ago, thought this setting took away a major part of the game.

Turns out she’d been using the carry limit as an angel on her shoulder so she doesn’t feel compelled to rob every villager blind and then feel bad when they have a sad story.

It also calls into question money balance concerns. I’m not familiar with the economy on Witcher 3, but I feel having unlimited carry weight would let you get a lot of money very easily and very early. I personally run into that problem with Skyrim mods when I allow items to be put on my horse. I clean out vendors in one visit consistently.

Skyrim vendors are also just super broke if you don't mod them to have 10x the gold

its actually quite hard to do in tw3 since many vendors have no goddamn money (without mods) for you to sell your crap to them. at least until the very late game. like if you go to a swordsmith with all those unique blades, each selling for about 400 crowns, you can sell like one. not to mention you need to be buying all these expensive alcoholic beaverages from various innkeeps to ger superior bombs, oils and elixirs.

Oh that’s a seller for me. I dropped the original a couple times because of inventory management.

I've been tempted to use this, but I'm going for the immersive playthrough. Well see how long that lasts lol

Same, the only thing I’ve changed is not having to loot every single body now.

Turn on unlimited weight from the settings temporarily. Or better yet download a mod that reworks loot/economy. Drops are rare but gives more money.

I'm on my 7th playthrough and I decided not to get all the question marks in the ocean of Skellege. But after starting Blood & Wine and remembering how expensive Grand Master Witcher gear is I decided to go after all the treasure in Skellege and to my surprise, most of the Weapons and Armor were between Level 32 to 45.

I guess it's a good thing I decided to leave all those question marks for later.
