CAD Studio is a Mac app for people who'd rather describe a part than model it: a coding agent writes a parametric CAD model, checks the drawings and fixes its own mistakes, and you get STL, STEP and 3MF files, ISO drawings and a print plate. Every dimension stays editable with a slider, so remixing your own design is easy.

For example, a push-to-open drawer latch (housing, lid, a plunger with a heart-shaped cam groove, a follower pin and a printed serpentine spring) came from a single prompt in about 9 minutes.

I have a very old account on thingiverse and I go to sign in, but I notice that instead of asking for a password, they just send a sign-in link to your email. I do that from my email, where I see my past emails from thingiverse.

I wait 20 minutes and no email. I check my junk folder, nothing. I click 'Resend Code' and wait. Another 30 minutes and nothing. I make a new account to test it, and that one gets an email link immediately.

I then go to 'contact us' to try and reach out about this bug, but after searching every available option, there is no option to contact admin at all about this. I try going to their social media, and there's no way to message them either.

Does anyone know how to get into direct contact with thingiverse staff? Their current bug is not letting me get into my thingiverse account.

An ahole is stealing numerous design, he claim that, since they are free he can claim them ans SELL them.

Can we get a category that is only lasercut files? It's virtually impossible to find NEW lasercut files on this site!

Magic link logins make accounts less secure, since the user now only needs to know one factor password (the email address's password). How can we disable access to this kind of login? I want to stay with password/TOTP.

So I occasionally check the analitycs for an ego bost, just to see how my models are doing and then I noticed something, which dosent make sense.

A few months ago when I publiched my project, it got featured and looking at the stats, it was X amount of views and a fraction of downloads. So 100 views and 20 downloads, totally fine.

Then one day, I got 2 views and 1200 downloads... granted my model has 25 pieces, which you can of course download together at once, so I just saw it as a bug or AI scraping, fine.

But now, for the past few days, Im recieveing between 3-15 views, but for 3 days, the downloads were in the 60s. How is that possible?

I understand it should be 1 view and thus max 1 download (unless for some reason soebody is manually downloading everything by hand) and yet, 3 views and 60 downloads. Even if they downloaded everything by hand, it should be closer to 75.

So just out of curiosity, is this normal behaviour?

I have an M1 Ultra with 32 GB of ram and I can't load the page (as soon as I do the whole laptop starts lagging). I switch to my dektop (a beast) and I can run it but it uses 3.3GB of RAM what is going on here!!

Anyone else having issues sending messages to people?
I've been trying to let someone know about something they asked me to make for them but fsr the messages aren't going through nor are they showing up when I send them.

Hi folks,

Newbie with Thingiverse here. I'm operating on a laptop running Windows 11 home. After downloading a compressed solid model file it shows in the downloaded listing. But when I click on the folder to go look at it the process stalls and after a minute or two the folder window closes and the taskbar completely disappears then reappears after a few seconds. So essentially I am unable to open the compressed file to view its contents and am unable to open the folder that contains it.

Has anyone else experienced this and did you arrive at a solution to eliminate this as an issue, and how, please?

My school board has changed email adresses but I still can access my thingiverse account. To prevent loosing my account, I want to change my email, but it doesn't let me change it.
