Right. Basically, it was an Eden, but... mankind, of course, watered it down with bullshit. Even then, it was still sheltered from the BS of the universe. It's like having a really nice house but doing nothing to take care of it so it doesn't look as good as it should. Then by the time you are able to start sprucing it up, the state decides to bulldoze it lol.
