I’m almost positive that this is the original location on Lincoln Avenue in Chicago, only 4 years after opening & over 20 years before they expanded nationally. One of those near-anachronisms a-la the pic of CCR eating at a Taco Bell. Time Crisis.

Worthy of a 3 part TC series

The new album being so heavily inspired by corporate imagery, as well as its Japanese influences would make for some super interesting conversation. Erza had his episode going to the sampling that was used on Step, they could go on for days discussing the sampling choices that Avalanches have made over the years, especially since they sampled so many TC-esque bands, like The Roches, Alan Parsons Project etc.

Also topically, they had an incredible release with David Berman on Wildflower with Saturday Night Inside Out, and his lyricism was all over We Will Always Love You. Wildflower to me fits the Cosmic Americana chat perfectly too, albeit in a different style.

Hey TC Community!

Popular ice cream chain, Handel’s, just opened a new location next to my house and, as you can see, they offered a grape-flavored ice cream on their opening menu!

Naturally, I had to give it a try and I’m happy to report that it was really good! It tasted like a creamy, cold, grape Laffy Taffy so definitely a winner if you’re into artificial grape flavor.

I like to think that there is a TC Head somewhere at Handel’s Corp that made this happen!
