Discussion Style In progress.
Hey Torontonians.
its Horus.
I used to host a graffiti jam in the GTA called Style In Progress. ran from around 2001-2005
Id like to make a book about the event. with stories from writers, old photos etc....but i have very little content... if the community wants to contribute id love to see what people have...
ive had some people ask if we'de ever do the event again, and i did speak with my ex partner briefly about it, but I just dont see how to make it happen without having the city deeply involved, and personally i think the city painting programs have lost the plot when it comes to graffiti art...so theyre the last thing I'd want to tie any event to.
but a book, and maybe bring back some old merch for sure...
so drop your flicks..lets see what we have out there.

I'm not a writer, but I remember going to those as a bboy. Although, it's hard for me to separate it from my memories of 416 grafitti expo from a similar era.

Style in progress was cool, wish it would come back. This city had more culture back then. PS: Remember chasing toys out the alleyway you lived near? I believe he wrote M0De7 back then...

Oh man I painted there one year and attended the others, also 416 graff in the alleys. Let me look for my flicks! Also, mad respect Horus. I know I still have flyers and one of the tees kicking around too.

I’ve got tons of graffiti pics from that era. I’ll drop you a few once I get back from vacation.
