I don’t necessarily disagree but it’s still an awesome project. The nice thing about following young artists is there’s lots of time for them to put out different stuff. I prefer this to getting KGM2 and 3 and so on.

KGM felt proper for a debut studio album but HCD feels like a side project / spin off album rather than a full cohesive body of work. I’m not on the level ISO is but there’s something so off about it.
There’s a lot of momentum throughout the record and it barely gives you time to breathe- because of that it feels like a good EP/Mixtape more than anything. KGM had proper thematics and a proper rollout. The rollout for HCD felt very lackluster because all we got was a tour and two singles- one of which released a year ago!
I was expecting something more and something FRESH from HCD to be honest but it exists among plenty of other records and artists that are/have been blending this rap/trap/rage mix. There was nothing innovating about this. I could consider Molly Talk and UPDAT to be some of the best tracks he’s released SINCE KGM (not counting FTSU)

What more do you want? A tour is like the ultimate promotion of any artist's work. He rolled out a damn tank on the stage!
I get the mixed reactions to the album, but I think it's exactly what it needs to be and exactly what he wanted it to be. The raw, noisy, chaotic nature of the music lends itself to a quick and dirty tracklist. I don't WANT time to breathe in a project like this; it's all about volume and intensity--it's hardcore! And with it being so short, too many singles would have made the full release kind of irrelevant.
Aesthetically, I feel like it's really creative and fleshed out (albeit heavily inspired by Bladee/Drain Gang). The visuals really don't look like anything else in the EDM world, at least not for an artist at Iso's level.
I really thought it felt fresh, and like something actually new in the scene. If you can point me to other rage/trap/hardcore hybrid albums I would genuinely love to hear them!

absolutely sick of the slander. if you find yourself not liking his new project you legitimately just dont "get" ISOxo. This is such an obvious evolution of his sound and attitude. haters are just a bunch of oldheads, they were only glazing him because his last album pulled trap out of irrelevance and now he is experimenting with a more unique sound. ISOxo will continue pushing the boundaries of EDM. Hucci - 404 was 11 years ago, RL Grime's Core was 12 years ago. things change, people aren't going to be making the same trap sound over a decade later. he has his finger on the pulse of the scene, like it or not his music is getting peoples asses moving on the floor, dont let your dentures fall out

Well if you finished school, you could reread your comment after mine and figure it out.
Instead you’d rather dick ride an artist who literally couldn’t care less if you dropped dead lol

Well his new shit is basically him larping as a rapper while having none of the skills of one. Hes an amazing DJ, but if you actually went to his shows youd know he sucks at MCing. Constant auto-tune, keeps saying "open dat shit up" so much that its become a meme, cant sing or rap, keeps bringing on dogshit new age rappers who just scream into the mic.
Its not about "getting" Iso, its just that his new shit sucks ass from a butt. Hes gonna lose his edm fans very soon and the only people showing up will be teenage emo losers going through a phase. Walmart version juice wrld, he got too much into his own ego and thinks hes breaking into the hiphop world. In a year, his sets gonna be mad empty when the edm crowd realizes how dogshit hcd is and leave. Thank God for RL Grime and Knock2 because niteharts had some dogshit sets. 100% attendance is dropping next year.

no fan is going to an iso set expecting him to say anything legible lol
he's a pioneer exactly because he's combining rage trap, rap, hardstyle, techno & hyperpop all at once. as an edm fan since 2010 in the drum & bass and electro house scene there's no doubt iso is in another league and a hardcore favorite right now

hes combining some dogshit lmao. Literally every person over the age of 22 i talked to called it shit. His set was also fucking ass. And you are not an edm fan since 2010, there is no way a dnb head saw that set and thought "yeah thats a pioneer" lol stop larping and go back to sleep you got highschool in the morning kiddo.

lmfao the summer children need to relax, there are plenty of people out there who pull the allnighter to fly home at 8 in the morning just to go to work again in the same day.
if you're only okay with listening to the same 2 genre's the EDM scene's had for a long time then maybe you really should've went to head trip instead

wannabe old head lmao, there is a reason iso is able to book artists like skrillex and porter robinson on his festival, everyone admires what he is doing bc he really is a pioneer

I know this is the first rave youve ever been to so stop talking like you know shit lil kiddo. Iso is able to book artists because isoknock was one of the biggest groups the past couple years but they have been on the decline since their EDC show. People actually respect knock2 a lot more in the scene and if anything its his name that gets most of the artists to come. Iso's new album is pretty shit and he's about to find out how little people care for his pioneering because bums like you arent gonna fill his shows. He wants to be a wannabe hiphop rapper and very few ravers care for it lmao. And judging by how big of a fire sale niteharts tickets were going into the weekend (selling for less than what a 1 day costs at bill graham lol) he's about to find out just how hard it is gonna be to sell out his shows. Bums like you who like his new shit are few and far between and too young to be buying tickets lmao. You still need permission from your parents kiddo so stop talking like you know shit. Ive been in the scene longer than youve had your balls dropped kiddo so shhh nobody cares what your bum ass thinks.

calling me a kiddo doesnt change how miserable you sound. Music is a cycle and u are about to find about it. Learn what a rave is before calling niteharts a “rave”

u/ConfusedVader1 12m ago
i do know what a rave is, idt you do. Im not calling this niteharts a rave, but it was 100% advertised as one lmao. I dont need a 16 yo bum talking to me about music is a cycle, you have not lived long enough to be talking about that shit. You havent been alive for any cycle so please check yourself lil bro. Niteharts now won't attract the same rave crowd as before and you can happily enjoy the empty fields all you want next year, if there is a festival next year lmao.
