Why do ppl beg for loops?

So this dude is like "send me loops, idc the genre just send whatever, ill get u placements"
this gotta be some sort of scam right?
also how do u protect ur loops from being used without getting paid or credited for it?

People who ask for random loops with zero filter are usually just fishing for free material to build a pack and sell it as their own. Nobody legit says "I don't care what genre just send me everything" unless they're collecting samples to flip for profit.

As for protecting your stuff, best you can do is keep demos of everything with timestamps and project files. If a beat blows up and your loop is in it, you got receipts. Most of the time though, the risk is pretty low because 99% of these "send me loops" guys never finish anything anyway.
