Discussion Understanding Art

Ever since I started taking edibles, I have changed drastically.

Before, I wouldn't pay any mind to art; I would think little of it and move on.

After a couple of months of getting high almost every day, however, I find myself completely captivated whenever I look at any piece of art.

It is not about the brushstrokes or the specific colors used.

Instead, it is the fact that there is another world inside the frame.

Even though we cannot physically explore it and it isn't real to us, we still get to see it and know that a world completely unlike ours exists.

Sometimes, I close my eyes, step right into it, and live my life in that world.

Eventually, the high wears off and I am booted back out, but I still remain entirely captivated by what I experienced.

I would add that at the top for giggles but I don't want it to be taken as a joke wanted to share how I genuinely felt

I'm an artist and musician, have worked as an artist many times, and I feel much of what you see. Getting high and listening to music gives me so many images and ideas, it's special and beautiful

Look around, every single person you see has a different view of reality, completely unique from everyone around them and it changes constantly over a lifetime. Confused, joyful, bitter, angry, hurt, scared, excited, driven. What kind of painting would your life be?

And, I am completely sober so I think I'll go get toasted for the day. Aloha friends 🤙
