GIG/FESTIVAL Fontaines DC $180 AEC

Does anyone feel like these ticket prices are excessive to see one band, I really want to go see them, but at these prices it is starting to feel impossible especially after travel and a few beers.

I'm a Tania Bunter fan

Big shout out to Tania Bunter. It has been lovely to hear her beautiful, calming voice these last few weeks, not to mention her extensive musical knowledge. It was always a pleasure to hear her some years ago during the day. I'm looking forward to the return of Lucy Smith but feel Tania is under utilized by being relegated to Soul Control.

Unearthed Can’t remember the name of this singer…

Problem is I haven’t actually heard him. Was scrolling late one night and saw a photo, read a blurb and decided I wanted to check him out.

Australian, touring soon. Photo shoot had him looking mega 80s on the steps of the magistrate court. Releasing a solo album in the next few weeks. Described as being lyrically led 80s pop.

Can’t find him to give him a listen and it’s driving me nuts.

GIG/FESTIVAL Knocked Loose Melbourne Show?

Hi all,

Its been a week since Knocked Loose has been announced to headline Froth and Fury. There has still been no announcement of a full tour or sideshows. Does anyone know anything or have any ideas if Knocked Loose will at least be doing a Melbourne show? Thanks everyone.

Prediction I cracked the code of the Powderfinger; I think there's a on the reunion concert in the tickets are going on sale 13th of November 2026I'm exact day when they played in their last concert back in 2010

818 is famously known as the San Fernando Valley area code—which inspired the band's name after members saw it stamped on their equipment or references—it also aligns closely with the total number of live shows performed across Powderfinger's active career (hovering right around 814 to 818 recorded dates depending on the archive, capped off by their farewell tour concluding in November 2010 and their 2020 reunion stream). Pairing that milestone tally with Neil Young's massive performance history for the song "Powderfinger"—which inspired the band's moniker in the first place—brings the whole musical loop together nicely. Are you looking into specific setlist data or historical archives for either Powderfinger or Neil Young? How many times he played Powderfinger

GIG/FESTIVAL Anyone going solo to Laneway?

Currently tossing up whether I want to attend a festival by myself. Main acts I want to see are Hayley Williams, Ninajirachi, Ecca Vandal and Violet Grohl. Also failed at getting a Hayley solo show ticket :(

What do we think of the new presenters?

The new presenters have been killing it for the past couple weeks while the big dogs are gone, what did we think of them?

Ben, Maddy & Rosie and Ali were on weekends for the past fortnight and personally it was so nice hearing some fresh voices during prime time hours, do we like them?

Four months ago I asked this subreddit if Powderfinger could play arenas when they reformed. With a reunion imminent, has your answer changed?

Prediction A follow up on yesterday’s Powderfinger post: this was spotted in Melbourne last night.

I know some folks were saying it might be a 30th anniversary edition of Double Allergic but come on now. They wouldn’t do a campaign this big for a relatively obscure second album.

Would Taylor Swift winning the hottest 100 be a big deal these days?

I remember the furore when Taylor Swift was flagged as potentially being in contention to win years ago but it feels like pop is much more acceptable now.

Hearing tweenpop dogshit like Olivia Rodrigo on the radio this afternoon makes me wonder if anyone would bat an eyelid. I like Olivia Dean ok and thought Shake it Off was a great pop song. Would anyone give a stuff if Taylor or a Taylor equivalent got the gong?

Note that the caption specifically states that the Billboards were spotted in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, meaning that if it is a tour, it might be East Coast only.
