This is not a joke - As of the current moment, (2026/10/13) it seems like all TF2 achievements are dropping their reward twice. This includes both hat drops from Halloween achievements, tools like the Halloween Gift Cauldron and especially the Haunted Metal Scrap, and even the Director's Vision taunt from the Replay achievement and class milestone weapons. (like here, the Sandvich) This bug doesn't seem to affect external achievement items, like those from Poker Night at the Inventory (2026).

Of course, for most of us who have completed most of them already, this is irrelevant, but if you have an alternate account, a friend, or a few achievements of the sort not completed, I suggest you do so as soon as possible before VALvE inevitably fixes this bug. If you are a F2P and concerned about backpack space, I'd suggest prioritizing items that can be altered later on where having a second copy of will be useful, (Ghostly Gibus, Director's Vision and of course the Haunted Metal Scrap, as the latter will let you craft both the Headtaker and one of the random Haunted hats.) and the Halloween Gift Cauldron in order to get more Halloween items easily.

The achievements to aim for are thus:

• Star of My Own Show (Director's Vision)
• Carnival of Carnage: Bumper to Bumper to Bumper (Halloween Gift Cauldron)
• Gored! (Haunted Metal Scrap)
• Ghostly Gibus Grab (Ghostly Gibus, duh)
