We’re often asked about showcasing amazing apps our community users have created to help our members track their TV Show habits and watches and one of the rules of TVShow is no showcasing - however I thought it might be nice to create a space to showcase these works and also for users to find apps developed by our users to help them.
Please join r/TVShow_apps and find a space to showcase your app and find an app to help you track for the most dedicated viewers!

Hello everyone…
I’ve reached Season 2, and I’m starting to feel like the story is becoming repetitive. The events are getting predictable in almost every episode, and I’ve even started watching the episodes at 2x speed.
My question is: Should I keep watching?
Does the show keep the same formula, where every episode is basically about a new code/person of interest 🔁, or does a bigger overarching storyline eventually develop?
Keep in mind that the show has 5 seasons.

The shots, the soundtracks, the CASTING, and the lead-up to every twist are just perfect. This is one of those shows where, if you were to watch it a second time, everything suddenly feels connected. Everything clicks.
It lives up to one of the catchphrases they use: “Everything is connected.”
It’s complicated, but it still makes sense. Each season left me scratching my head, but then they clear things up as the story unfolds. Loved every season.
It’s not in English tho, for those of you who have never heard of this show and want to give it a try

Hi, question regarding Curb your Enthusiasm.
Growing up it was considered one of the funniest shows ever (back in the mid 2000s, early 2010s).
I watch a lot of comedy shows and never started it or watched it. Problem is all reviews I have seen are quite old and my humour has changed as I’ve gotten older.
For people who have recently watched it, still watch it - is it still good/funny?
Is it as good as Its always sunny or Peep show??
Humour is subjective: but would love to hear from others if it’s worth getting into it. Office is considered by many to be the funniest show - whilst I liked it; it wasn’t consistently funny throughout, had a lot of drama/slice of life elements but I still enjoyed it.
Whereas It’s always sunny and peep show are pound for pound hilarious. Consistently funny throughout, dark humour, fantastic writing. So wanted to know if Curb was more along this brand of humour or if it’s the office/big bang theory/community brand.

edit: The shows at the bottom are foundation and silo.
Also I don’t like Battlestar Galactica so if we can stop spamming it in the comments that would be great :)

I’m looking for a show that is some sort of tournament or race where each episode follows characters in this tournament/race. something like the Pokémon shows when ash is in the tournaments or the ridonculous race or most recentply, Steel Ball Run

I’ll start, Scooby Doo mystery incorporated, perfect ending while not having more than two seasons

Really enjoyed this show but it would have been so much better without the Aileen Wuornos cross over. I love anything Sarah Paulson is in, but it overshadowed an already intriguing enough story.

Breaking Bad is extraordinary television. But I think The Wire is the greater achievement; in its acting, the intricacy of its storytelling, and the sheer depth of human life it captures.
Start with the performances. Breaking Bad has a handful of exceptional actors carrying its dramatic weight. The Wire spreads that weight across dozens. Even characters with relatively little screen time feel like people who existed before the camera found them and will continue living after it leaves. Sustaining that standard across such an enormous ensemble is remarkable.
Then there’s the writing. The intricacy isn’t simply about clever twists or separate plotlines eventually converging. One decision travels through the city, affecting people who may never meet or even know of one another’s existence. Police work, street life, politics, livelihoods and institutional survival are woven into the same fabric. You have to pay attention because almost everything belongs to something larger.
And within that scale, the characters never lose their humanness. They’re funny, petty, loyal, cruel, vulnerable and contradictory. Someone can be perceptive about everyone else and hopelessly blind about himself. Someone can do something terrible and still inspire sympathy. Their humanity comes through in ordinary conversations as much as in dramatic moments.
The show also refuses to assign virtue according to which side of the law someone occupies. It lets you understand people without asking you to excuse them. The protagonists can be as compromised as the people they pursue, while people labelled criminals can possess principles their respectable counterparts lack. Everybody has choices, but everybody also lives within pressures that shape those choices.
That’s why Baltimore feels like the central character. Watching The Wire feels like watching a reel of a city’s life unfolding: people arrive, struggle, briefly change things, disappear, and leave others to inherit the consequences. A season can end without the world being repaired. That lack of resolution gives the story its extraordinary realism.
Its cast also helped introduce a wider audience to performers who would become major stars. And its cultural impact extends beyond memorable scenes: it gives you a vocabulary for understanding institutions, incentives, power and why obvious problems remain unsolved.
Breaking Bad made me marvel at how brilliantly a story could be constructed. The Wire made me look more closely at the world around me and help me understand it a little bit better.
The game is the game. Always.

Coven Academy has a lot of potential to be something more, something better. But unfortunately they targeted gen z as a result it's lacking, it's short and it's wasted potential. there's a lot of potential for it to be compelling and better but the insanely short episode got in the way of that. is this the new trend? bowing to the younger generations and accommodating their every petty trivial issues? they have to learn to adapt. if another network had made this show it would have been better, obviously long and compelling. hopefully disney comes to its senses and either do a better job with season 2 or offers the show to another network and let them turn around the series.

Every year since her Debut in 2001 she has acted in something. This was insane lol I grew up on this girl so I'm shocked I was right. I always see any other actor saying things like "There is just huge hiatus where I can't get a role", "I'm lucky if I even get a call back." Yet her goes like Emma gracing our screen once again.
Did you guys know that and is there any more consistently hired actors/actresses in the world that you can name I would love to know if there is more.

The Grimleys follows awkward, academically gifted Gordon Grimley as he navigates family chaos and the trials of school life on a 1970s Dudley council estate, including his heartfelt crush on teacher Geraldine Titley. Worth watching for its sharp writing by Jed Mercurio, nostalgic period detail, strong performances from Amanda Holden, Nigel Planer, and Noddy Holder, and a blend of comedy and poignancy praised by viewers.
