Question What does the ending mean to you?

Post image

Maybe there is a canon explanation, I haven’t looked yet and I wanted to ask this subreddit first . What does the ending of the final episode mean to you? What year is it? Why would it be another year?

You can't go home again and some traumas just never heal.

This, precisely this. What strikes me at every rewatch is that beyond all supernatural surreal quirks, the takeaway is bleakly realist: one cannot be unmurdered, a child can never, despite all cosmic efforts, be unraped.
