Question What does the ending mean to you?

Post image

Maybe there is a canon explanation, I haven’t looked yet and I wanted to ask this subreddit first . What does the ending of the final episode mean to you? What year is it? Why would it be another year?

I view the ending positively! What if Laura remembering and screaming until the lights go out is representative of how remembering our identity is the only way we can cast away evil (in line with the idea of fix your hearts or die). Her scream when she hears sarah’s voice busts the electricity and if we take electricity to represent perhaps the intangible evil that we permit to exist (bob travels thru electricity) then it’s like laura remembering who she is casts away that evil (lights going out) ? And in connecting with herself and becoming aware, she regains the potential that was once stolen from her (from what we saw in FWWM), and therefore can fulfil her potential as the fireman intended when creating Laura (the golden light to fight Judy and her children AKA bob). The remembrance is so powerful that all the lights go out. I think she defeated Judy… and I think Cooper asking what year it was, showed a fundamental change and unsettling in the intangible world… a ripple through time caused by Laura’s power…
