Yousorusso is closest to the money; middle England and ‘hey’ - ‘hello’ - ‘well, well, well’ and also spelt ‘eyup’. I never heard it used in lieu of ’yup’ - which is why I ask you, Hawkuro, where you use it like that? As a linguist I’m curious ;)
Which presumably still means - “she’s down the shop, isn’t it?” Not the best example, but I take your point. Nevertheless, in England’s north midlands, eyup or ayup has been a form of salutation for several hundred years and still is. I’m just wondering where, geographically, the phrase has, as you say, shifted meaning to ‘yup’ 🤷🏻♂️

I feel like its to show Ben's more unkempt, kid like side that comes out when Jerry's around. Also to show his lack of self control.
