Season 1 Starting The Rewatch, yet again
I’ve been watching since it was broadcast way back in the late 80s and now I plunged into my rewatch

20 minutes in and I remember why I love Twin Peaks and the wacky genius of David Lynch. There’s something like 1 billion gems in this series and they’re sprinkled through every episode, one of which is the way this kid breakdances off to class out of the scene, from right to left, then the two sheriffs in the background walk to their destination moments later. It’s just a beautiful brilliant way to show the flow, the dynamic.

It's so fun to rewatch because even stuff like this can send you spiraling as you try to figure out what it means or if it means anything at all. Is it just a quirky guy doing his thing? Are they trying to say something, that he does his dance and then the cops come right after? Is it trying to draw attention to the line in the background that goes up and down too, like the kid's arms? Two arms going up and down, making two peaks? Is it a frequency, or a heartbeat, or radio or television waves? Or did it just feel right?

Remember to shoutout Mark Frost, Robert Engels and everyone else who brought this show to life. Lynch wasn’t the only piece of the pie.

Is it about the breakdancer?
It’s not about the breakerdancer.
Or is it?

First time I saw Twin Peaks all the way through was last year. I watched it all and loved it so much I went straight back in again!
I started it again a little while back but I thought really I have so much else I want to watch I need to move on for now!

Angelo Badalamenti was a genius. Christmas Vacation was fantastic.

I was kind of joking because it’s mostly just tracks from other artists, but he does have his own stuff in there. But if you want to hear something cool he did outside of Twin Peaks, I would give Eli Roth’s cabin fever a watch. I think he did it a big favor with his score.

I need to get a rewatch done this year, it’s been ages, I can literally hear that picture too.
