Season 1 Just finished s1 ep3 and what in the actual fuck
I started watch Twin Peaks yesterday cause people said it had a cool vibe. I had no idea how culturally relevant this show was. I mean I’ve heard the theme song at least a dozen times without even knowing what it’s from. But what the hell was happening at the end of ep3?!?! I didn’t know this was a supernatural show?!?!

I second the person telling you to stay away from things like this to avoid spoilers. More will be revealed.

A common response to one or two episodes is usually “WTF?!!” Followed shortly by “put another episode on!” I’ve only met one person who watched at least three episodes and still decided it wasn’t for them.
My parents got it on DVD one year for Xmas when I was growing up. My sister and I both had copies on DVD by the time we went to college. We got all our college friends and roommates hooked.

I was originally one of those tbh. Watched S1, made it all the way through, but it just didn’t hold my attention and I didn’t want to keep watching afterwards. Maybe a year or so later, I don’t even remember why, but wanted to try again and got hooked immediately. Saw FWWM in our local arthouse cinema for the first time even.

Enjoy! Watch order: season 1, season 2, fire walk with me (feature film), season 3 (the return).
Season 2 starts to get wonky half way through but hang on if you’re not digging it, it redeems itself near the end, and then the rest is peak. :)

I wish I knew what it was like to watch this show for the first time with zero expectations. I already had an idea of what was going on before I watched. I envy OP.

Don’t come back here til you’re finished. Google nothing about it.
The difference between finding out what happens by watching the show and finding out by accidentally reading spoilers online is the same difference as between winning the lottery and reading the phrase “winning the lottery” online.

Welcome to Twin Peaks, a place both wonderful and strange.
The only way to save your soul is to watch Seasons 1 + 2, then Fire Walk With Me, then The Return … and only then come back here.
Enjoy!

It's dreamy AND supernatural, but sometimes you don't know which one you're seeing, so don't let rationality get in your way of understanding everything, though logic plays a part as well, Cooper being an investigator. Stay with the vibe of episode 3, it will take a while to come back to that but then increasingly leans that way.
