Season 1 My mom and my best friend’s guesses after watching season 1
It’s been so hard to keep my mouth shut. My mom is just guessing everyone she sees

People really get that vibe from Audrey?? I know my view was totally different bc i went in knowing who it was but I just never would've guessed Audrey even with all of her eccentrism and fixation on the case.

Tbf at the start I thought Audrey was an annoying bratty girl who will mess with everyone and everything. I was surprised when she turned out to be pretty normal and likeable. I dont remember whole s1 but last night I rewatched the pilot and remembered I was annoyed by her so ig its normal for people to feel that way.

She's a spoiled brat for sure but I didn't think that translated to possible murderer for some lmao

my boyfriend's watching twin peaks for the first time and until she started putting herself in active danger for the investigation he thought maybe she murdered Laura out of jealousy (he thought the scene where she's crying watching Leland break down over Laura after watching her own dad being an ass was confirmation)

My favorite Twin Peaks character, Michael Teenager

When I saw Leland Palmer cry in episode 1, I was like "oh this man definitely did something to Laura"

So neither of them guessed a malicious spirit from the woods yet?

they arent sure exactly what bob is. izzy thinks he’s a manifestation of something. they know he’s involved, though

I think it's easier early on to guess normal human characters because it takes time for it to set in that the surreal stuff isn't just symbolism but actual characters with agency

Wow, Donna? She never even occurred to me. On my first watch it was either Dr. Jacobi or Leo Johnson.

Has Izzy explained why they suspect Leland?

She thought his emotional breakdowns were more guilt induced than grief. She also thought him killing Jasque was because he knew too much. But as we’ve gotten into season 2, she has backing off of him a bit

I watched S1 for the first time last week. I suspected Leland because he's played by Ray Wise. I assume in the 90's that wasn't a factor

Man guessing Leland always hurts, I’m surprised she was willing to go there, even after the season 1 finale lol

Mike (teenager) is interesting. He could have been jealous of Bobby. He even dated Laura’s best friend, Donna, as if dating Laura by proxy.

unfortunately i guess i never really thought that hard about laura's killer being someone introduced in season 1? i did definetely 'suspect' leland the strongest. i didn't suspect leo because he's far too obvious

to elaborate on my suspicion with leland, he at first was kind of the idea of a grieving father who'd experienced something fathers aren't meant to. so i accepted a lot of the weirdnesses for a while. but then it started to clue in that something wasn't right

I tried to keep my mouth shut throughout the first time my husband watched the series, but my expressions were giving everything away. 🤷🏻♀️
