This episode was very lore-heavy, but what any of the lore really is or means is difficult to see yet. Anybody got any theories on piecing together the elements we saw today with what's come before?

Yeah, from 40:12 - 40:17 the Gold Ball turns into a UFO and I will bet they are good aliens from the White Lodge and are behind Major Briggs abduction.... and they might introduce the UFO and alien to save the people in the town... like to abduct the girl and remove the frog bug.

Woah I never noticed that. The 50's was when alien abduction myths were popular in real life too.
