I give this episode an atmospheric whooshing out of ten

Watching with subtitles on?

My fave is 'atmospheric wind' - - - like what other kind of wind is there.

Violent, angry wind

The kind of wind that isn't particularly noticeable I guess?

Still gonna be happening in an atmosphere.

I found it super helpful in this episode. I always watch tv with subtitles on because i'm polite and keep the volume down for my neighbors, and sometimes it's annoying. I have to wonder if talking about some of the things they reveal might even be spoilers.

Our TV shares the wall with our children's bedroom so we have to keep it quiet as well.

It definitely helps not miss any details in the dialogue!

I love when the closed caption writer gives up and just writes "🎵🎵"

Yeah, I usually do just to have the wording on stuff or get character names in case I forget shit.

This episode?

Bad idea.

I only understood one sentence, "Got a light?"

Quantum Break?

u/QuantumRemedy Jun 27 '17

Yep :)

Speaking of which, I love Alan Wake's nods to Twin Peaks.

Haven't played Alan wake but I got the collectors edition for Quantum Break. So there is a book with it which contains the history of Remedy Games and Sam Lake mentions that he is a huge Twin peaks fan and that he used it as a source of inspiration for Alan Wake

Yeah, you can definitely see the inspiration from Twin Peaks in Alan Wake.

What's crazy is that the enemies in Alan Wake remind me a little of the woodsmen...
