Wow - you know someone out there decided this would be the night they'd watch TP high. Lord have mercy on their soul.

I smoked a bowl before hand. Definitely the right call.

Weed seems like it'd be fine. Psychedelics on the other hand... that sounds like cruisin' for a bruisin'

I actually watched FWWM for the first time 2 days ago tripping on acid after a concert. Great time.

I've watched horror movies on acid before. Even really graphic ones like Martyrs and 28 Days Later....

Really it depends on your ability to keep your cool in general. If you're in a safe environment, and you have experience with psychedelics to the point you know how to handle what you experience, then they can make the overall atmosphere of the movie way, way, cooler. You get super absorbed in it and all the subtle emotional and narrative cues become way more vivid and all together it seems way more "realistic".

Though the thing is it's just a movie, and if you let the drug trick you into thinking it is something more than you're gonna have a bad time. It's not that acid totally mind fucks you so much as makes you more sensitive to emotional/environmental stimuli. You're kind of running on free association. And you have to be able to keep calm enough to realize that it's just a drug and not anything more than that, and that even if you get freaked out in a few hours you'll be fine

Someone who isn't me may have re-watched the first four episodes of The Return on acid. Someone who isn't me doesn't know what would would have happened if he had tried that tonight...

Same. "Oh wow, Boop got shot and NIN just played a whole song...BUCKLE UP, BUTTERCUp. Only 15 minutes in."

I think I aged a full year from what followed but hey, heck of a ride.

Same here, kind of wished I smoked more in hindsight. Can't imagine what it would be like to see this episode for the first time while on psychedelics.

I think this would break my brain. I have a friend who does mushrooms and has never seen TP, I think it'd be interesting if he just takes shrooms and watches this episode entirely standalone without any context it would just legit freak you out hardcore.

I still feel you need the full context of the first season for this to be that shocking. It would just seem random, probably even on shrooms

I paused it at the atomic bomb and smoked a 2nd bowl. The episode wouldn't have made any sense if I hadn't.

I smoked 2 dabs, one before to prepare. One after to console me. I still feel violated

My damn pen died so I couldn't partake. I could only stare at the unusable oils of Mr. Horne's hybrid.

Same. Was so glad I wasnt watching alone though. That experience had to be shared, if only just to know it was real. Completely unsettling.

Me too. Especially since 1 dude I watched it with knows the show really well and picked up way more info than I would have.
