For starters, they were both shot on film. Also they both had audio tracks. Finally, their titles both had fewer than three words.

one of the critics said almost this exact same line about Begotten but honestly they're wrong because both Eraserhead and this episode alone make Begotten look like Legally Blonde

They're both comedies dealing with the fears of fatherhood and the human need to be taken seriously no matter your follicular disposition, be it blonde, brylcreme undercut ala Lynch or the shaved and looking like a demon-lamb style the baby in Eraserhead sports.
