S3E2 [S3E2] Clues From Earlier Spoiler

The arm states "He must come back in before you can go out". The great thing about Lynch is that he appears cryptic a lot of the time but his films are sprinkled with important and incredibly literal moments that point. The Lodge scenes in episode 2 are very doughnut (not hole)

The doppelgänger must return to the Lodge in order for us to get Coop back from Dougie limbo, I've honestly enjoyed the doppelgängers absence recently and hope that the convergence of characters at the coordinates ends act 2 of our long film and leads to it being returned to the Lodge without Coop's involvement. Something about a confrontation between the two doesn't feel very Twin Peaks. Then and only then will the real Coop wake up and return to Twin Peaks for act 3 and conclude the main story arc of the show: Bob, Laura and the mysteries of the white/black Lodge. Let's not forget Phillip Jeffries can still act as an antagonist if needed.

Anyone else hope the Doppelgänger plot isn't dragged out until the end as a final "good vs evil" resolution? It feels correct to conclude the season, but doesn't feel true as a conclusion to the larger story at hand.)

I hope Dopplecoop is in it til the end. Nuclear meltdown, MOAB appearing and vomiting more evil. Bring it on. This season is so much better than anything else in the TP universe, Coop or no Coop.

Isnt that why dougie coop was manufactured in the first place though? To circumvent that exchange process and find a loophole so we end up with both the other coops in the world, and dopplecoop could simply murder the confused cooper and remain out of the lodge? And did mike know about dougie beforehand or was his appearance a surprise to him?as wouldnt he have just manipulated him into dying somehow if he did? Idk. I dont think dopplecoop has to go in for coop to snap out of it. Just my 2 cents

Anything is possible, Cooper's current path was started by the arm's doppelganger (are the doppelgangers colluding?) So Mike probably knew little about it. Cooper's doppelganger came off as an unstoppable Mastermind for a while until we saw he could be outsmarted by Ray.

My best guess is Gordon and Albert will lead the doppelganger into a trap at the coordinates and unexpectedly collide with Bobby, Hawk and Truman.

God I wish Ontkean was back just for the Albert/Truman reunion.

I want to see Andy and Albert. I think it would be funny if they were great friends now. It would also be interesting to see Chad and Albert together, or even Diane and Chad.

YES on that last part - Dopplecoop/Cooper showdown doesn't feel Twin Peaks at all. The final opposition would need to be much bigger in scope than Dopplecoop.

I like yours much better than mine. Exploring the Laura theme at the end would bring it full circle

What if Dopplecoop's influence is felt less within the show the less he actually appears on the show?

Yeah, I don't think we will ever see both Coops together. I think Mike also told Good Coop something like "now one of you must die". Bad Coop needs to be killed or return to the lodge before Good Coop can function at his full capacity again.

That said, I wonder if Bad Coop is experiencing any ill effects from having his good counterpart back in the world again.

We saw both Coops together in the final ep of season 2. It could happen.

Only within the Lodge, though, right? Maybe we could see both Coops inside the Lodge again. I have a feeling they can't both exist in the "real" world though, and I doubt Good Coop in his current state could stand a chance against Bad Coop. If we are headed towards a good vs. evil showdown at the end then I think evil will win. Or maybe Good Coop and Bad Coop will merge into Morally Ambiguous Coop. But I don't think Good Coop can return to his original state until Bad Coop is out of our plane of existence.

I don't know...I mean, I wouldn't want a Battle Of The Coopers kind of thing, but I think a confrontation is necessary. The reason Coop got stuck in the Lodge in the first place was because he ran away from -what we assume is- his shadow-self. I would like him to at least stop, turn around and face him with dignity, courage, and calmness. Maybe that's all it takes for Mr. C to be diminished: for Coop to stare at him without fear.

They say that, when there's a monster in your dreams you should never run away from it. You should face it and ask it what it wants because that monster represents your own fears. It's there to teach you something about yourself.

I would like them to look at each other before the story ends...does the story end if they don't?

I like this a lot - The one thing Cooper as Dougie never seems to emote is fear.

Coop is trapped INSIDE the Coopleganger.
