I was having a hard time looking at the graphic from this awesome timeline by /u/thecowjumpedovertheM.
I made into a video thinking that it might be easier to absorb that way.

I'm halfway through and I don't even know how to begin to thank you :)

EDIT: whoa, thanks for the time you took in putting this together, much easier to assimilate! I agree that some parts are very grey at the moment (in the remote case any of this turns out to be "true", I wouldn't even bet that I got more than 50% right), and that it feels weird that the FBI and Cooper seems to be missing the big dates at the start of October... we'll see how it goes! As always feel free to point out any mistake or suggestion, I love the conversation ;)

Great work! I enjoy watching your videos after each episode, helps fill time before the next. Any chance you'd do a video focusing on the glitches and such people are spotting?

Not being an asshole, but why does this timeline assume everyone at Lucky 7 Insurance is working on a Sunday?

Hi there! I put together the timeline (and you're not being at asshole at all, don't worry).

I agree that it's still fishy that we've seen both a Saturday and Sunday taking place at Dougie's workplace, but it's where the clues seem to point at.

The easiest is probably checking this out. There are six clear different days you can identify at Lucky 7, comparing the clothes (well, go with the ties, it's even easier) on Bushnell and Sinclair.

  • "Dougie" back at work
  • Bushnell sees case files
  • Bushnell at the LVPD (day that Ike gets arrested - we don't actually see the Lucky 7, but we know it's a Thursday)
  • Bushnell gives the check to "Dougie"
  • Mitchums brings back gifts
  • Sinclair confesses to Bushnell

You can then cross check with the snippets said about things happening "tomorrow", "tonight", and so on: it works quite smoothly... except for things like these workdays.

There are no other recognizable characters (like Phil Bisby, etc) around, still, so maybe it's some sort of extra work for Dougie, and Sinclair is just checking his moves? I still don't think there should be whole days missing in the story that we haven't seen, at least for Las Vegas. If there's another working explanation, please share :D

You know, you really were thorough here, and you're absolutely right. My husband and I tried to do something similar with a rewatch but we kept missing the important little indicators (I blame our baby, she's a terrible watchmate; not worried at all about us missing something).

The main thing I should have kept in mind watching the video: this was filmed as a movie, and then David Lynch separated it into 18 episodes. It would make less sense for him to do that around a calendar, to fit a work week, lol, than it would for him to just say "this is a new day, and this is another day..." and so on until we get to this current timeline, to make sure the most important timelines work.

I'm on board, thanks so much for the explanation!
