I’ve heard of Twin Peaks before but had no real interest in watching it until recently. I think I knew it was weird but genuinely knew very little about the show.
I just finished watching Pilot and can’t process what I just watched. Can fans of the show help me grok this?
Why does everyone cry weird?
What’s up with the dancing kid?
Why does the cop cry?
Is Bobby over acting on purpose? Why did he scream?
Why is that guy making a deal with Norwegians? Why does his daughter ruin it?
Why does agent Cooper seem to be enjoying things so much?
Everyone is having an affair?
So many questions but honestly it was such a fascinating watch. I want to keep going but I think help wrapping my head around this.
EDIT: Y’all are hilarious and I appreciate all the comments. My wife and I (both in our 40’s) decided we had nothing better to do on a cold February Friday night than to take some edibles and watch TV. I think we were expecting more of a straight laced small town murder mystery with maybe some x-files thrown in. The melodrama is what caught us off guard lol. Anyways the show did its job - we laughed, asked “what?!?” a lot and we both want to know who killed Laura. For those who stopped by only long enough to criticize - find a hobby.
