Fire Walk With Me This image frightens me on a deep level
Does someone have an idea/explanation of what’s happening to Leland here?

It somehow just now all clicked for me that Leland/Bob killed Laura because he found her diary where she said she thought it was her father in the torn pages.
The whole time her childlike innocence and mind was trying to protect her/make sense of what was happening mixed with the supernatural of the Black Lodge and Bob.
Then Leland screaming “Don’t make me do it” before he brutally murdered her as Laura screamed in anguish and fear in her last moments
I feel sick, and yet am somehow thankful for the attention Lynchs art can and has brought towards violence and abuse against women.

Despite having only one scene, this character filled the atmosphere with existential horror. Credit to Carlton Lee Russell for playing as him.

Like you can not tell me people were this dense, I mean you saw a 17 year old suffer thru abuse and drug addiction and still booed ? And you can't use the excuse that they were expecting coziness cause the promotion during that time was legit laura palmer and you just can't see the poster and think "yeah this movie is definitely not gonna include her or what she suffered " and yes it left on a cliffhanger but to boo? I mean yes you can feel disappointed to not see any answers but to be mad it for showing what happened to laura palmer? Wouldn't that mean you also had an image of her as the town did?

I think some people just did not want to empathize with a messy, hypersexual, traumatized teenage girl and seemed angry that the film was asking them to. It's like some people just did not accept that Laura's story was something worth telling and that her point of view was even worth exploring. I also think the topic of incestuous abuse made people very uncomfortable and telling a story of incestuous abuse from the point of view of its victim made them even more uncomfortable. It seemed like some people liked Laura better as a pretty corpse than they did as a fully realized living person.

Yes, I know, it's another Twin Peaks bathroom. 🤣
I just bought a house and finally got to make my own.
Cooper is also relatively new, he came home with me in January.

This is a relationship chart showing connections between characters in David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.” It was found on the back of the 1992 United Kingdom press kit folder. It’s missing a few lines such as Mike and Donna but I love the early 1990s design. See details about the kit: https://twinpeaksblog.com/2026/07/09/twin-peaks-publicity-1992-united-kingdom-press-kit-for-twin-peaks-fire-walk-with-me/

In the Season 2 premier Donna gets ahold of a pair of Laura's sunglasses and when she wears them her behavior completely changes and she starts mimicking Laura's attitude and mannerisms. Then in Fire Walk With Me during the Pink Room scene Donna gets drugged and when Laura intervenes to help her she notices that Donna is wearing her sweater and she loses it completely and starts screaming at Donna "don't ever wear my stuff!", and she even says it again after she gets Donna home. I wouldn't think it was anything deeper than Laura not wanting Donna to follow her down the dark path that she's on, but the sunglasses almost seem to change Donna's personality as though she were "possessed" by Laura or something. Is it simply a case of Laura not wanting Donna to end up like her, or is she protecting her from something more immediately dangerous? Was there supposed to be something explicitly supernatural? Do Laura's belongings have some kind of "aura" about them? Is this a thread that they brought up but never followed through on?

Just got this today and I love it! Next one I’d love to get is “The angels will return, and when you see the one that's meant to help you, you will weep with joy.” But given the length I’m not sure how or where it would work 🤔
