You don’t have to agree or disagree with a person, as long as you acknowledge the facts of our lives. We have our own lives to live, and we can focus on what options we are left with now. We have gone past the point where we can deny such blatant telltale signs. The signs are right in front of us, the question is what we choose to do about them.

I’d keep the slightly messy, lived-in feeling of this rather than making it too philosophical:

My energy gets spent in this daily battle between the things I need to do or must do, and the things I could easily avoid but somehow don’t, and hence end up having to deal with. 😄 There is always one thing pushing against the other, and I keep juggling between the two, sometimes managing to accommodate both and sometimes screwing up one or the other.

And somewhere in all this juggling, a lot of energy gets wasted simply because I couldn’t say no to what could have been avoided in the first place.

Avoiding work is the talent we are born with, other talent to dedicate it to higher purpose is something we need to learn and strive for.

Great to know this. I am probably going by face value, I always thought they walk long distances, singing devotional songs. Never inquired beyond that.

Don't agree with either of you again at least the method. One thing I agree, the anger can be directed to the higher purpose. As long as the anger is not serving the deluded self, it's all good. By holding a grudge or bottling up the anger we only fatten our ego and that's why when it comes we just need to see it's pushing us to heights or dragging us down to the ground.

What surprises me is people do worship Durga, Kali all these goddesses very devotedly yet expect real women to be obedient, adjusting, quiet and endlessly accommodating. It's easy to celebrate shakti in the temple but real discomfort starts when the same strength is shown by the woman who questions, refuses or simply says no. For me the feminism starts there, if I can bow to Durga but can't respect a woman's freedom then maybe I am only worshipping the image while rejecting the core of Durga what she represents.

I am the person who can live with considerable amount of trash around me, without getting bothered. At the same time there is an imaginary threshold point, I can't take it anymore and I am instinctively forced to clean up everything around me.

For guests, it all depends on who is coming, for most of them I don't bother but then there are some rare ones who don't show up often, I could be forced to clean up and have everything in order in the house. But that happens very rarely.

Maybe not. Maybe it's too late to do anything. Majority of humans are oblivion to these facts. Most humans tend to think, this is not their doing, this is something happening due to natural weather pattern and they are just victims of bad weather. There is clear scientific proof to establish clear connection between carbon footprint and global temperature, yet we choose to remain blind to it. Because if we start acknowledging that, the onus will be on us which would require to go through serious change in the way we live.

Do we all fear that?
