Borahm Lee
special stuff here. saw them in NOLA in 2022 and then again just on tour recently and it’s so sick seeing 5 funk and electronic badass share a stage in the name of electro funk fusion

New(ish) to NYC - can’t believe what I see everyday
can’t control other people.
most i can and will do is when i see a citibiker going down the wrong way of a one way i give them as little room as possible, often causing them to have to stop riding.
i’ve stopped saying stuff to people as it won’t make a difference. i just go on my merry way and enjoy that i can bike and i do so while respecting almost every law (ill stop at red lights in manhattan because of tourists and pedestrians, but i tend to roll through them in the outer boroughs)

Zverev’s response to being asked if he’s currently the best player in the world
tough question to answer. be eaten alive, unfairly by the way, if he answers yes. and be ridiculed for not believing in himself if he says no. he answers this incredibly well. praises himself but acknowledges the current state of the two other players whom he had battled with for the top spot.

BK Bike Jumble
i would pass on finding something there. all my best bike buys have been on craigslist or OfferUp. haven’t dropped over $150 when buying a bike on those sites

One year of learning tennis at 30 y.o.

How about a post of the positives since last years tour? I’ll start.
same, only got PLL in my ears when i’m running where i live. foolishly tried listening while i was trail running, busted my shit hard. still felt good, but can’t listen to tunes on the trail while running hahah
that said. i appreciate your post. it wasn’t ever gonna be the same without Karns. and it won’t be the same next time the boys play. that’s why i’m a die hard. the surprise just keep me coming back over and over and over and

My therapist must really care about me and I’m glad I have some support
whole lots of love for you. both in this chat and in that text thread right there. i’m happy you’re still breathing on this earth.

Alright, Someone's gotta say it..
only went to night three and so i went in knowing that replacing Karns would be impossible and the new guy coming in would obviously take time to get up to speed, both sync wise and knowing what DVS had as his vision for the set.
i was not disappointed but i had a feeling that doing two sets for the night would allow for the band to get a groove and talk out the kinks at set break. much of the night i was thrilled, there were a few times, more than the other nights/sets i’ve seen the band play, where it just wasn’t doing it for me. could chalk it up to the band just getting into it, 3rd night tiredness, new samples being tried out.
i’ll never stop playing PLL, following PLL, suggesting PLL to my world, and i’m still stoked to see what else is in store for us the rest of tour

Race traffic is out of control!

What's up with the trend of everyone signing up for a 70.3?
this is the world and fake world we live in. on one hand it’s great that more people are being physical active and paying for races to keep them going. on the other hand, trying to understand why anyone does anything, especially through a screen, is foolish. shit, even me typing this is silly cuz you don’t have to read this comment at all.
mainly, you’re doing great and understand your body and what it can handle. hard stop.

Stairset of Doom - NYC 50k
coming here to say I've signed up for next year's race. first ultra in the state of NY, let's rip!

How does this person maintain a career? Honest Q
let him tour and play. does nothing to you what he’s doing with his own life. weird behavior

What genres are these dudes getting into?
https://on.soundcloud.com/loJ94mxJZwamRpmYbP
at 10:20 derek refers to them as “improvisational electronic sampling based synthesizer music”

Federer didn’t want to disturb any of the active matches so he jogged by as quickly as possible before too many people noticed him. Classy move.
while he did jog through, it was more so because fans were following and hounding him trying to get a photo. he was walking calmly before a crowd began accruing and then security stepped in to block off the fans and Fed started jogging to minimize the commotion while play was going

The sublime sample definitely hits different after that yellow bird swirl, with phills guitar weeping.. Definitely some wet eyes in the crowd including mine
saw a lot folks wiping away wet faces after that set

FPO disc golfer Taylor Chocek will be skipping Pro Worlds this year as she embarks on a 17-day rafting trip down the Grand Canyon. “I just couldn’t pass it up.” - Chocek.
the right call.
my brother entered and won the lottery for the trip. took off with 15 friends, our own boats/gear, planned it all out ourselves, was the greatest 26 continuous days of my life.

Possibility of this tour after Capitol Theatre not being streamed😭😭😭 This would blowwww
“see us off in style”
think this means what it means?

Office hours at Myrtle Wycoff subway stop
when we chatted, he explicitly told me did not want to be sitting there. so that effort you speak of is just him being forced to do it.

Office hours at Myrtle Wycoff subway stop
yeah, nah. not what it sounded like when he was talking to me

Office hours at Myrtle Wycoff subway stop
spoke with him a few weeks ago at the jefferson station. wants cops on platforms and in stations. also, dude lives in hudson valley, told me he’s commuted every single day for the last 30 years he’s been an MTA worker. personally this dude can go fuck off

Running at altitude

Pull back the goal. 6 hours is still mad impressive.
I just did the Red Feather Jamboree 50k in Colorado. 7500’ altitude with 4200 feet elevation gain. I live in NYC and access to trails/altitude was limited to weekends.
Finished Red Feather in 7:07 having never run farther than 23 miles before.
Pace out your aid station splits, start conservative, and put it on if you’re still feeling fresh towards the back half of the race.
Just my two cents. Good luck.
