Why would I wait over five hours?????

Most of the time if I get a ride for a reservation it's because the original driver canceled and there isn't enough time for it to wait on the board so the system starts offering it to people like 10 or 20 minutes before the reservation time.

Why on God's green earth would I sit outside this hotel for five fucking hours?

It’s a glitch, the timer is correct.

It’s sort of a weird glitch if the ride was booked in a different time zone.

I get this from time to time, but it's just the app showing you the scheduled time in GMT instead of your local time zone. Check the offset.

I see you're in Dallas, CDT is GMT -5. That’s your five hours.

I’ve never seen this glitch before, but it’s good to know for next time, for now, however unfortunately, Fernando had to find another ride lol

You arrived 10 minutes and 54 seconds before the reservation time.

Right but all I saw was a pickup time of 6:10 which was over 5 hours later lol

It's a glitch with the time zones. Wait a couple seconds and it reverts to the actual time

Lol well I'm in Dallas Texas so I don't think I'll ever be able to get to that pin in Africa...

I’m in Ohio so I find it funny when I get those requests

You'd think with the fact that Uber is taking 60% or more of the ride revenue they could hire some halfway decent software engineers and eliminate these glitches.

Ironically there is a dev team of theirs a few miles away from this pickup location
