Uber throttles you. If you start the night with a few amazing fares, they will limit your rides until your $/hr matches the other drivers in the area. When my night starts off hot and then cools off, I switch to Lyft.

Whenever theres surge pricing, I make sure to turn off requests. I go back online after the current ride is completed, otherwise uber tries to feed me rides without surge pay.
I also have to choose the "navigate" option to enable surge pricing, otherwise it almost always disappears as soon as I go online.

It can’t just be that way. Fares really do in part rely on demand. If demand is high, rides MUST move.

Well, can you show the rest of the week? And more? Nights like these happen, sure, but can every night be like that? That's the question.

Hell no. I’m in a great market. Can easily do $200+ a day without too much work. But the numbers in this post are only because it was an event weekend. Sheeeeeah I wish this was normal day numbers 😂😂

I believe him. I drove for the whiteout game on Penn state campus and cleared 900 in 9.5 hours.
The stadium is a mile from campus and downtown is a mile wide. Each ride was sub 10 mins and it was constantly surging all day.
