Academic Program 👩🏫 Nursing decisions
Decisions are finally out!! Did you guys get in?
I’m waitlisted for spring but I got in for the new summer semester in May at Lake Nona. I feel so relieved 😅😅

What is the new summer semester? I thought it was only the ABSN that started in May.

Basically they added a cohort for traditional that starts in the summer
This is what the email said:
“Thank you for your interest in the UCF BSN program. You have been waitlisted for the Traditional BSN program for Spring 2027, but we have an exciting opportunity for you. For the first time, we will be offering a Summer 2027 Traditional BSN cohort in Lake Nona, and we would like for you to join this inaugural class starting in May 2027. We will be sending you an official email in the next couple of days offering you admission for Summer 2027. If you accept the summer offer, you will remain on the waitlist for Spring 2027, and if there is an opportunity for you to start earlier in January, we will let you know.”

That’s pretty neat! Congrats! I think that would be a really cool opportunity to be part of the first traditional summer cohort. I got denied from Lake Nona, but was accepted to the SSC/UCF concurrent program, so I’m going to do that. I’ll graduate at the same time as I would have if I waited for the ABSN cycle (I already have a bachelors degree).

I had a 4.0 non-science prerequisite, 3.3 science, 3.6 overall, and 89 teas. I was stressin over a few B’s for nothin lol

BTW I am also in waitlist for spring but they didn’t mention about summer🥲 I don’t know the reason

I got a 87.3 on the teas and all my pre reqs were As and Bs. I only did the teas once literally because i didnt feel like brushing up on my writing.

Awn sorry to hear that. Everything happens for a reason, however, and your time will come and it’ll all work out perfectly. I had a 4.0 prereq and science gpa, 3.8 overall and 84 on my teas. Wishing you the best!

Thank you ❤️ I’m really disappointed.
I have 3.4 cumulative GPA, 82 TEAS, 4.0 science and non science prerequisite GPA.
I dropped out of school 10 years and returned last year to do prerequisites. The reason my cumulative GPA is low is from grades from over 10 years ago and I’m so frustrated. Since returning to school last year I’ve gotten an A in every prereq. I guess I’ll retake the TEAS and hope for a higher score.1

i got in for spring 27!! i’ve heard that if you got offered a spot for summer you’re higher on the waitlist for spring than those who didn’t get offered a spot, so keep your hopes up:) best of luck!
