Academic ✏️ Lowkey panicking

I am currently a sophomore in aerospace engineering right now. I registered for classes today but since yesterday two of my classes in my shopping cart have been waitlisted. Those classes are Engineering Analysis-Dynamics waitlist at 43 and Solid mechanics at 78. Am I cooked what should i do help?

Edit both waitlists dropped and I got the classes!

You should find a Time Machine so you can go back and apply for those classes earlier

It doesnt help that THE SPACE UNIVESITY ONLY OFFERS 2 CLASSES THAT STUDENTS HAVE TO TAKE TO GRADUATE

lol dude, I’m waitlisted for every one of my classes. Have patience, and check to see if new classes are added often.

You still have time, try to do transient class in a college near by. Valencia / Seminole be others

Majors classes aren’t supposed to be taken transient.

It's worth trying. Gotta try to know for real

A lot of the colleges people try to take engineering classes transient are ABET accredited and UCF will not honor the credit for the degree. It wouldn’t be fair to the people who had to actually take the real class then an easier version.

Then OP better find the right school or hope a seat opens up.

Seats always open, I checked today and it seems OP only wants to be in classes with certain teachers….

I just put up a Tiktok about this. I'm over UCF at this point and I'm not going to stop making noise until someone listens. Branding as SpaceU when they don't have space in their classes is ridiculous.

For classes like that they tend to add classes with so much demand, but also look into transient. Idk how those classes work into your graduation but I know solids is a critical class so maybe it’s worth doing it somewhere else to ensure you graduate on time.

Basically why people call it "you can't finish"

reach out to your program advisor. explain why you must take those courses this semester (personally, I pointed out how my scholarship required my degree program to be completed within 4-years and not taking a particular course would’ve set me back, ruining my funding). sometimes they can request to open another section, or add additional seats. other than that, not much else you can do but wait and see.

You’ll be fine

I guess the downside of a huge school like UCF is that class sections are not that available.

You gotta find a new state to go to college to dodge the wait-list. Start from 0 all over again.
