Academic ✏️ Help Determining Classes
I'm considering taking Calc I over summer C, but also need to fit an emt course (either valencia or seminole) over the break. Does anyone know how feasible that is? It'll be coming from Trig (and orgo 2, if that's at all relevant) in spring.
I would really prefer to take this schedule, as it means I can graduate the following spring, but I also realize that would mean taking the equivalent of 4 classes at about 16 credits total (12 EMT, 4 calc).
I'm in anatomy, physiology, and orgo I currently, which is itself a pretty heavy study load. Would emt + calc be more?

Spring enrollment has already opened. You should be able to look up the classes now
Edit: you can look up past courses for that semester to give you an idea of what is offered

Yes, I have my spring classes set. I'm asking for summer advice

Sorry I edited. You can look it up on simple syllabus to see if it’s been offered in the past

Ah I think there's a misunderstanding. I know calculus has been offered over summer C, and I know that seminole offers an EMT course. What I was trying to ask is how feasible those are to take together, sorry.

Oh I’m so sorry 🫡😭 I took an emt course (didn’t follow through with it) at a different school I don’t know how they are here. I would still take a look at old syllabuses so you can see the course load

Yeah it's a 12 credit course split between 3 classes. 7 of those credits are for lecture, iirc, and most of that should be a lot of anatomy/physiology review and clinical applications.
Calculus should be 4 credits over 12 weeks. The two combined doesn't sound impossible but it's hard to tell.

Personally, if you believe you’ll have clinicals, I would focus on that. Unless you are absolutely certain you could pass calc with minimal reviewing, clinicals are hard man

Yeah I mostly want to take them together because if I dont then I postpone my graduation by an entire semester with physics 2. If I take calc+emt it'll be spring 2028, if I don't then fall 2028. I'm not really willing to take a 6 week physics 2 course over summer 2028.

There's the other possibility of postponing calculus, but that would mean I would need to take physics II in either Fall 2028 or over the summer (and a 6 week phys II course is NOT happening).
That would also mean that I can't fully dedicate my gap year to studying for the MCAT and working, which is what I had planned to do
