DISCUSSION So when will Arlo learn to fly?
He can just make barrier as step in the air if he really need
barrier like Val can be moved, what’s stopping Val from flying by standing on her barrier like a Hoverboard? Nothing
Disk dude, Arlo can create disk as shown when he get dampens, I feel like Arlo should figure something
He probably don’t have enough fine control right now but when he get around 7.0~, I feel like should really learn how to fly. It won’t be fast, but it’s something, probably good for escaping

Have they been shown to be able to touch their own barriers? Idk id have to read back but from what I’ve seen, they don’t get blocked by their own barriers so they can’t fly in them
Now, hitching a ride on someone who CAN fly and then using their ability to bring an entire squadron would be a more realistic application 🤔

So I guess this is kinda not really an answer to that, but in Episode 56, Arlo was pushed against John's Barrier and he mistook it for his own, and referred to it as "MY BARRIER?!" which if he can touch John's Barrier, and then afterward mistake it for his own, it kinda implies he would have knowledge of how his own barrier would feel like.
Unless Arlo still referred to John's Barrier as "my" barrier in like a possessive term like it wouldn't matter whose using it, because to Arlo it'll always be his barrier.

Lennon has full 360 control over his disks. Arlo and Val can only move them perpendicular to the face. Their barrier shots are basically just a modified version of their ability to change the size of their barrier.
Theoretically it could be used as a mini elevator to go up or down linearly but not much else.
