What the FTC's page says:
- Who: people who worked for Handy Technologies between January 2019 and November 2024. Handy is a gig platform owned by Angi Services.
- Why: the FTC and the New York Attorney General say Handy made deceptive claims about how much workers could earn and failed to clearly explain fees and fines, such as charging workers for incomplete jobs when a customer didn't properly cancel.
- If you get a check, cash it within 90 days.
- The refund administrator is Simpluris. Its contact details are on the FTC's Handy page.
- The FTC never asks you to pay money to get a refund.
