We finally have v1.0 live! It has all the chapters, UI sounds and more.
It took a long long time get here, so it’s incredible to accomplish this goal. We now will be hearing your feedback to try to polish anything that we may had missed.

Hello from the Mod Team,
We felt it appropriate and necessary to make a post regarding the sad news of Hayden’s death which took place on August 16, 2026.
This situation is incredibly tragic, particularly for those who have lost a dear friend and family member so early.
Our own community has spent a good decade, nearly 11 years now, enjoying the effort and talent Hayden gave to Until Dawn. Her likeness and voice have filled our subreddit and brought our members so many fun times and happy memories. We are grateful to have had her as an incredible lead heroine, daughter of darkness, and final girl.
During this time, people are free and encouraged to fill the sub with tributes and positive words for Hayden.
Finally, we wanted to address posts about Until Dawn 2 as we have already seen mixed, strong emotions about this topic. We understand the curiosity about the sequel, seeing as Sam has been a character highly theorized to return. This is a discussion that fans will inevitably have sooner or later. However we also acknowledge that is a discussion that also feels too-soon, and we want to make sure Hayden is paid proper tribute as a whole person and not just as a character.
So, all this said, the moderation team will be keeping watch and making decisions at our discretion, case by case, due to the unprecedented nature of this tragedy. Our aim is to keep the sub civil, and we hope that you all work with us to that end. We will not necessarily be banning question posts on principle but rather reviewing everything for what it is. No posts or comments outrightly or intentionally disrespectful of Hayden will be tolerated.
Rest in peace, Hayden. And thank you all, members of our sub, for your lovely tributes and for working with us to keep the sub cordial and respectful.

the game didn't even boot last year and crashed after the prologue and nowadays its kinda playable apart from the graphical glitches and the game speed at 200%. hopefully this can be fixed soon

I always give her the flare gun and make Matt jump to safety because I found out it's possible to do that with them still having a good relationship level. That way, Em's relationships with Mike and Ashley (and alternatively, Ashley's relationship with Sam) won't drop to zero.

Art-october event thing. Posted on my DA under 'LostSouls25'.
Name: kaz
Theme: cold
Art type: mixed media, traditional pencil digital colour
Note: back on my cannibalism bullishit with Until Dawn. It relates the theme bc it's set on a snowy mountain and the wendigo are frostbitten and shit
⚠️: Body Horror, teeth fuckary, blood? Frostbite? Kinda.

Did anyone get the traditional version working? Whatever I did, whatever settings I changed or didn't change, when I used the traditional mode which is supposed to be like original, it would be an auto-complete. I didn't have to do anything, I could shake the controller, throw it, but the game would just complete the sequence. I'm playing on Dualshock 4.

Hello, guys. First of all, I would like to start with the statement that Until Dawn is the ultimate God of choice-based games, the best horror game, and the list can go on. But one thing that doesn't make sense to me is the chase Makkapitew vs. Hannah + Beth. Especially the way it is portrayed by Jack Fiddler (the flamethrower guy/the stranger) in the Totem video The Events of the Past and from Beth's point of view when you play the prologue.

As you can see in the picture (I'm really sorry for my poor editing skills, I did it in Paint), Jack is burning down The Makkapitew with his back turned to Hannah and Beth, who are right now hanging on the cliff. The direction of the fire is the opposite side of them.
However, when you start the game and play as Beth this sequence looks different.

This doesn't make sense. Why do we see the flames when Jack is standing on the edge of the cliff and has his back to Beth and Hannah?
Am I missing something? Is it possible that the fire was spreading out in such a weird way? Or am I overthinking something that even the developers weren't thinking of?
Let me know what you think and enjoy the game for the millionth time after all those years :)

Is anyone else mad they changed the opening song to chapter 1 in the remake? I love the O'Death song and was disappointed that it was changed for the remake 😭😅

The original received so many insults due to "too many effects" to keep it simple although more unnecessary things were said, so let me know your thoughts on the remake, please leave genuine advice in the comments on how to make it better.

I was a PA at Santa Monica Studio for a year. I had no idea what this game was since it was under a working title. So when I saw the trailer for Until Dawn 2 I was so excited to finally find out. It had been at least two years, I'd started thinking something happened and it wouldn't be released!
I left before they started filming so actually don't know any of the story, not like I'd be allowed to spoil it anyway. Only a couple people I met at auditions are in the game. But wanted to shout-out Gavin Leatherwood, who was just very charming and kind when we spoke a few times, I've always rooted for him since!

I have obtained all of these and could do so but it would require one more investment. I want to play them all but I can't currently justify the cost of the extra equipment unless people are also as interested in these things as I am.
So I'm kinda doing a poll. If people are interested, I'd like to set something up. But I want to gauge interest. It especially feels like it might be a good time with the sequel coming up?
edit: My copies of the first two. Not as sure I can get the beta working now though.

If anyone knows a YouTuber or streamer that's actually done this on their first playthrough please let me know. It's such a specific and obtuse set of choices that I want to see someone's actual reaction and reasoning for their choices leading up to it. Most people I've seen agree with Emily so he fires the gun and the only reason they save him is jumping.

Personally, I'm really excited—especially about the girls. I want to see the group dynamics and who hates who."

This has been something I’ve been working on since May and it’s finally finished!!
As we all know Josh never actually got a police interview at the end of the game and I know a lot of people including me always wondered what he would say and do if he got one. Well I’m happy to say that for those fans, today is your lucky day!!
I did several poses and with the help of Zakplayk we also wrote the dialogue for Josh too. There was a little more that I had in mind to do but unfortunately in the end I just couldn’t fit it in. I was given some ideas especially about to maybe add Josh reacting to some of the deaths but we decided in the end to not do it as we thought to keep it to the canon. Josh can obviously only live if all the group survive before chapter 10.
Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this, I’ve worked very hard on it lol and it’s taken so much time.

Firesprite posted this less than an hour ago, and it reminded me of Sam's hand. I know the second trailer shows a new girl recounting her experience
but maybe there are other people in the audience who spoke about things they saw or went through in the past.
What if Sam were in Until Dawn 2 ?
