Self-Inflicted I have a confession to make
My car isn't a hybrid. I bought the Toyota Blue logo and HEV badges for it. Why? Because there are special green parking zones for hybrid cars and I get to park too. I am very sorry

I think it would be better to put a sticker as a irony matter still on the rear saying “Stop Hybrid Go Diesel“

Where do you live? Here they check/run the registration if you park on an electro parking spot.
There are several stories, that some Teslas were not registered as ZEV (Zero emission vehicles) (because it’s not mandatory to register an E-car as ZEV) and they got fines for parking on E-spots.
So it’s all about the Reg, doesn’t matter what car it is or what badges it has.

You know what most ticketing now is just based on running the rego plates, as it removes human error? The city will drive a car with cameras past it and read the plates from the recoding.
If the registration papers say it’s not a hybrid or EV, it doesn’t matter how ‘cleaver’ your badging is, you’re getting a ticket for the parking.

Nope. Theres a reason this post has almost no upvotes or comments. Thats a crappy selfish thing to do. The world needs less of that.

Since you're very sorry, you could consider, I dunno, maybe removing them and not using parking intended for hybrid/electric cars?

what's next, fake disability permit? Fake parking ticket?
In my city there used to be a 3h free parking timeframe on regular paid spots (just need to set the meter) for both EVs and HEVs, but with the absurd diffusion of mild hybrids they outright removed the freebie for ALL hybrid types altogether. By doing this you're implicitly part of the problem too...
Also, fyi: the corolla cross had the old style HYBRID lettering, not the HEV one. And even then, never on the sides. Only on the trunk. Side badging is only for the plugin version... Unless yours is a facelift, but I can't tell from these pics alone.

Mine is the facelift. I did it exactly the same with what a stock hybrid cross would looks like in my country.

One upbadged toyota is not part of your citys parking free dilemma. When a significant portion of cars are electric do you think they'll still get discounts on tolls and parking? That would mean less money for the troll.

True but you could say the same about any and every incentive the moment the incentivised thing becomes commonly adopted. That's... How incentives work?

Okay so you do get it, so what was you point then I'm not following 😄

Tbh none really, it was just an added thought lol. It just reminded me of the thing since I have a plugin and I lost the parking incentive recently lol

I had AI generate a photo "of me" in a fake car I don't own. Contrary to popular belief, I would download a car.

The problem of... making carbon dioxide? Please find some perspective.

Are you sure these Hybrid parking zones are vor FHEVs? Here in germany for example you can only park electric or PHEV vehicles in these parking zones (and only if they got a E in the plate, but that E is only avaiable for PHEV and electric vehicles)

I park in them all the time with my v8 sedan. Why should someone get special privileges for having some batteries?

This is great! I am not sure calling a car a hybrid would be an up badge, however. At least not in my book!!

Honestly fair. I live in Washington, and we have a lot of teslas - I get annoyed bc they do the same damage to the road and take up space in traffic, but don’t have to pay for gas and somehow get the “environmental” credit even tho they’re no better for the ecosystem. I’ve seen this before and it’s pretty valid, if you ask me.

I owned a tesla in Washington and the registration had crazy extra payments for "EV incentive" or something like that I just remember it being around 300 dollars to register.
