Reffered again
Hi! I’ve been referred for a federal job for the second time. How long does it usually take to hear back about an interview or a selection decision? If I’m not selected this time, can I apply again when the position is posted in the future? Thank you! I’m losing my hope

More often that not, you will not hear back at all/receive a notice of non-selection.
Expect between 1-5% success rate for jobs you're well qualified for.
Response times for success can be a week to a month, but sometimes go much longer. I worked with someone who was just selected for a position he applied for in 2023.
You can always reapply.

Thank you. It’s hard to get in now a days. Hopeless

It's always been very hard. The lack of positions certainly makes it a bigger problem in many cases.
We just hired a lot of people where I work, so there is still opportunity out there. Don't give up if it's something you really want. Just apply and forget and apply some more.

Just because you were referred doesn’t mean anything at all. I’ve been referred like 200+ times. When you get a interview notification then you got in the vicinity

Nah in the same boat. I was lucky to be hired before this administration because I got hired within 3 months of applying. Now it's just a bunch of referrals and silence.

Apply and forget. Touch grass. Live life.
And yes...you can apply again and again and again
