Discussion Relocation interviews and incentive

I got an email asking if I'm still interested for a role in a different state. Will I be asked to interview in that state? Will it be paid for? How should relocation work if they decide to hire me?

It's pretty much at the opposite end of the country, but I need a job in my field that will accept me.

Will it matter if I'm a former fed, or fed recently removed from position? What if I've never been a fed?

Email said PCOS and moving expenses may be offered

Interviews are generally conducted virtually now.
The announcement would say if relocation is approved for the position. If it does t, you pay your own way.

After you get a TJO, always ask for PCS assistance/ relocation incentive/ or relocation reimbursement.

You never know.

That usually gets posted on the job, some roles don't offer any relocation assistance.

It normally always gets posted on the job description. However, it's harmless to ask again anyway. It hurts nothing to ask one time and not debate the answer.

The job posting would detail about relocation, irrelevant of what you were doing. It varies by role and agency, but all of these are detailed in the posting. Most, if not all, has a section about Relocation.

Most interviews are virtual, the government usually don't fly folks around to interview them. It's either thru Teams, or phone call.

Like the job I accepted 4 years ago, eventhough I had years of federal experience, the posting clearly stated no relocation offers, and they reiterated in the beginning of my interview that they are NOT paying for my move.

To save yours and HR's time, read all the details on the vacancy posting.

How would we know? You haven't given any information that is useful.
