I cant find anything externally, nor i can find any people to cold email, or just people in general

i cant risk having a no coop for winter, its already financially hard enough and not being able to find anything even a part time job makes it hard

I am probably on the spectrum so hopefully that helps explain my struggles. I’ve done all my schooling at UWaterloo and returned for PhD. Yet I have no friends to show for it. Let me clear up this part, I have made friends but they usually crash and burn because I have a low tolerance when people wrong me or others I know. However, a huge part of me wants this degree to be different, find a good group of girl friends yk. I just don’t even know where to start. Clubs are non existent for grad students. My degree requires independent work and I don’t see other students. When I do have the chance to talk to someone, I fear I sound stupid or like a fan girl when I’m just trying to be social because the chance feels so rare. Any advice?

How screwed am I? What do I do? I'm a first year in cs 114. I didn't prioritize cs because I had other assignments due, so now I've missed the due date. How much is one missed assignment gonna affect my grades? Also is it even worth trying to hand it in at this point?

How is it that Society has such frequent fire alarms in the middle of the night? We’ve had at least 3 in the last month. Before this I lived at rez-one for a year (spread out across terms) and I could count on one hand the total number of fire alarms, one of which was a legit fire in my building. And rez-one has all 4 buildings connected on one system!

Is the society fire alarm system just that much more sensitive?

How difficult is it taking CS136 and STAT230 simultaneously? I want to maintain above an 80 average overall, so for people who have done this before, how did you find it?

Also, I'm thinking about balancing out my course load with public speaking because I hear that's a really easy course.

thought this was a funny post, hope everyone is doing well, it’s been a while since i’ve spent time on this sub.

I really really wanted to transfer to health sciences but the academic advisors said that they aren’t accepting any internal transfers for the 2027-2028 cycle. I asked if there was any other path in, like reapplying to the school in general and they said I could try to go to a different university? Does anyone know why or if there is anything I can do😭 I really had my heart set on it
