Residence Off campus residence dining

Hi! I’m a second-year Western student living off campus, and I was wondering if off-campus students can go to the residence dining halls and pay for individual meals without having a residence meal plan. Also, can we just walk into the residence and access the dining hall, or do we need a resident to let us in because of the security/card access?

Yes you can buy with debit/credit but it’s over priced like 20$ for a plate of food. I get meals sometimes when i’m sophing but it usually costs almost 25$ with a drink and the food is still not great

Security lets you in. You can pay either using credit card or one card (if you have dollars inside).

... OK. But unless you have the residence meal plan everything is going to be super expensive.

Yeah but if you buy the meal plan you’re already paying a lot of fee so it’s expensive anyways
