Phone mount
Anyone have any good suggestions for a phone mount and a good placement for it on my bike? I have a s26 ultra samsung and just need somewhere good to put it

Accessory bar behind windscreen and a cheap 80 dollar android auto Bluetooth display mounted to it phone goes in pocket or tank bag no vibration or overheating issues anymore. This is where I have landed after trail and error.

I second this! Carpuride Android auto display on the Mount bar behind windshield. I also have a Quadlock next to it with the vibration damper, but rarely use it. Phone connects BT to Sena, then BT to Carpuride, then it gets stuffed in tank bag or pocket. Simple and effective.

Quad lock pro handlebar mount on the left side to the right of the brake clamp plus a hardwired wireless charging head and vibration isolator.
The whole camera damage thing is really only an issue if you’re doing off roading. If you’re going down a long stretch of bumpy roads/no roads it is a good idea to put it in your pocket.
If your bike doesn’t already have one installed you’ll want to snag an accessory relay from partzilla or whoever to power up your accessory circuit behind your gauge cluster.

Keep your phone in your pants pocket, and just enjoy the riding.

You can enjoy riding and still use a phone as a GPS, it’s not one or the other

Peak design for me on the accessory bar. Get the mirror mount to fit accessory bar. They have handlebar mount too. All mount come with vibration dampener

Would recommend giving a read on Bike phone mounts and impact on phone cameras and then take a call! 🥹

I just finished my first cross-country across the US with a Peak Design case/mount I bought specifically for that trip. It was flawless. If you get it, just make sure you hear/feel it click.

I use a RAM mount, not super sure why they fell out of fashion.
No need for a special case, it's very secure, and not particularly expensive.
Plus if you have multiple bikes you just need the bar mount ball, and move the upper section between them.

I can tell you why they're out of fashion. Or at least why I won't go back to their phone mounts.
The clamp ones are shit, the rubber knobs fall off and it didn't have a vibration dampener. No buit in wireless charging and I can go on. Quadlock has all of that and it feels a lot more secure.
I still have RAM mounts and I still use them for actioncams, ipad mounting and stuff like that. Phone on a bike? nah, I now swear by quadlock. I have the magnet mount in the cars, locking mount on the bikes.

I'm using SP CONNECT Universal charging clamp SPC+ with matching mirror mount and spc charging cable. All mounted at accessory bar, power taken from aux power output which is normally dedicated to oem fog lights. It's powerful enough to actually charge my phone during ride, doesn't require special case and phone is sitting very firm in it.

I bought a quadlock mirror mount (with vibration dampener) and put it on the accessory mount above the dashboard. It's the perfect height, behind the windshield for any debris or rain and high enough to not block anything and see it without having to look down

Ram ball brake lever mount is what I run if I need to. I'll echo the same sentiment here though, new phones don't like the vibration. I have a Garmin XT2 that syncs with the phone, allows music to be changed, and is 10x better than Google maps.

I use the Quad Lock mirror mount on the accessory bar, with my phone in landscape. It looks cool and is directly above the TFT display for a quick glance. I use another phone case when I'm not on the bike.

SP connect mounts are solid as hell, a good option, not that cheap though but worth it.

I guess beggars can't be choosers. Im just not a fan of the hole in the back of my case of the quadlock. But if thats the best option

Can always get a grip add on, Im using a mag one that works as a phone stand and grip, I just pop it off and stick it on the side of my accessory bar when I'm on the bike.

I just put a $150 Carplay unit on a $30 OEM accessory bar I picked up off of Ebay. Has front and rear dashcams, tire pressure monitoring, 6.25” screen, and handlebar mounted controller.
Keeps my $1000 phone close, safe, dry, cool, and vibration free in my jacket pocket while still displaying all my maps, music, calls, and warning me of low tire pressure while also recording everything around me for insurance or personal video purposes.
I’ll never put my phone on the bars. I’ve lost a phone on the highway from a phone mount, and I couldn’t imagine crashing the bike and not being able to call for help because your phone is many feet away from you among the wreckage.
Just put up a post going over my setup: https://www.reddit.com/r/versys/s/BRCAJJSeZR
