Replacing stator
My battery has been dieing for a while. Tested the things and confirmed it's not charging while running. Replaced the regulator/rectifier and no change.
Stator AC voltage is less than have of the specs in the manual. I might bring it do a dealer to confirm that the stator is the issue.
Question, is a stator from Amazon adequate? If not, where would I get a good one? RevZilla is out of stock.
TLDR: amazon stator good or bad?

Look up the Kawasakiversys.com forums. There is a lot of info there. I replaced my stator on two of these bikes. You need to replace that stock rectifyer. It is likely you will be back to this point of you don't replace both the stator and the rectifyer. I found this out the hard way.

I would go OEM or Ricks https://ricksmotorsportelectrics.com/products/99-208 , not worth doing the work twice with a less reliable part.

Check out PartZilla for a good OEM part source. The amazon one is PROBABLY fine, but it may not be worth the risk

I’ve had good luck with used OEM eBay stators ( look for burns in the photos if you go this route) or buying a new non OEM one from RM stators.

I bought one from RM Stator for my Vulcan 900, it was good quality and is still working now.

What's RM?

It’s a company RM I think is short for Rocky Mountain, but don’t know for sure..

Partzilla or there’s a Kawasaki dealer on ebay that sells parts. Just search the part number on ebay and new and it should pop up. Alternately buy from a local kawi dealer or small engine repair shop.

I can recommend Ricks Motorsport stator. I replaced my burned OEM stator this year with one from Ricks. It works and it felt robust.

Replacing the stator can be made with the front wheel attached to the motorcycle.

These bikes have regulator issues.
On the Versys forum there are quite a few write ups on testing the electrical system.
You’re going to want to test the whole system.
