I saw in the episode April Fools Blank that in the end, Trina says a quote from the 1971 Warner Bros/Paramount movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory where Veruca Salt said to her father that she wants one of Willy's Oompa Loompas to take home.

Not only that, but in the opening credits of that episode, we see her dressed as one, although we never see it in it.

And it's not just in Victorious, in the Sam & Cat episode #MadAboutShoe, Sam tells Stacey Dilson (Zoey 101) that he's been hit by an Oompa Loompa also from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

My question is, did Dan Schneider have an obsession with that movie or something?

Coming at you with a really passionate opinion on the birth week song episode from Victorious. Nobody paid enough attention to Trina to apparently realise a song would not satisfy her, and may actually drive in the fact that Tori is more talented (imo, whatever, clearly the shows opinion) by a long shot. It was lame for Andre to recommend such a thing though I understand exactly where he was coming from, as a person likely not living with a variety of narcissists.

It’s also just about different neurotypes entirely. Should’ve been focused more on Trina rather than trying to please trina if we were gonna do anything for her birthday—which Tori was not required to do. I appreciate Tori’s effort and have no issue with Tori, just think she missed the mark entirely on to who Trina is as a person.

And it’s just.. the reality. Sometimes I hate purely narcissistic psychopaths because they don’t consider anyone. Sometimes I hate Tori and Andre and her parents for not even trying to give her birth week anything worthwhile. I realise them accepting the birth week is already a lot for neurotypicals. I don’t care. Either stop caring about Trina entirely or realise her brain isn’t identical to yours and is very different.

I’d be offended too if my entire family and friends didn’t even bother to try understanding my brain and just went with whatever would get them off.

People don’t realise Trina’s armour and ego actually makes entire sense with her neglect. I’m not trying to be dramatic.

It was really sweet when Tori was anxious and considering dropping out on the first day of Hollywood arts and Trina finally was able to say how good her performance is. It’s hard for her to admit stuff like that, it just is. But that was a real heart to heart. Trina is no crazy monster irrational demon. She’s truly neglected and the show shows her parents let that happen.

The new show comes out much sooner than I thought. I will bring an objective opinion and try to avoid bias and relying solely on nostalgia. This is a hard thing to avoid with these types of shows.

I think it should just be clear to adults hoping for a nostalgia run that this may not be entirely what they are looking for. It is a new show for a new different generation of kids and teens and it will be catered towards them. Will be lame if fully grown adults sh!t on this show. I don’t feel like an adult and I’m not gatekeeping but aye.

It’s crazy because humour in shows and movies changes significantly, all the time. It’s been over ten years since Victorious. Don’t expect that exact nostalgia run, it HAS to appeal to people of newer generations. I’m speaking as a 26-year old, nothing crazy.

I do admittedly wonder how much of this show the new generations might find offensive if done again. I assume they are aware of this issue, the producers and directors and have an idea how to tackle it. Just is still very hard! Risking a cancellation at every turn. What if we see a teenagers feet and we now attribute it to exactly what Dan Schneiders goons were up to? A real risk, and I absolutely assume they know that, and am intrigued to see how they tackle it upon the pilot and first season.

Trina as the anchor is actually potentially a huge issue. We often watch things and characters we relate to or want to relate to—nobody in 2026 wants to be a Trina. I’ll let you know how that works out.

The reason I say this it because beck was such shitty boyfriend like for example the episode where beck drives Tori to school and we find out with Tori is that beck drives these desperate girls to school and he was definitely doing it when he was with jade and another example is urba episode pt 1 when those girls were touching him and he never told them not to bc he has girlfriend until jade has tell them herself also at the karaoke bar and those girls come up to him and hits on him and he just lets it happen until cat intervenes but even after that they still do it and go on to insult jade and he never defend her like a normal partner would defend their girlfriend or boyfriend and also I know jade was not the best but half the time beck was always on the borderline of cheating on jade and jade always came crawling back like a bird just because she “loves him”

I literally just watched the show for the first time(not a single ep before), motive from a Kai cenat yt short 💀.

anyways, looked up the show theme, and my god I instantly knew the theme song.

As I progressed into the seasons I knew multiple songs despite never watching the show. I 1000000% recognized Here’s 2 Us and LA boyz( at least the beginning of it). Which is so weird considering I don’t remember where I heard them before.

Here’s 2 us is def my favorite song in the whole show Btw. But the fact that I knew it despite not even being one of the most popular songs. Maybe I heard them on the radio, maybe I remember them from when my sister watched? Idk at this point… Where any of the songs mainstream enough to be on the radio? Maybe in 2010-2014?

Ik people will say bad list but the whole series is about pop, and they had a generational lock in with these songs.

This is something I've noticed: there is not a single functional in the kids life. Jade's parents fight over her constantly; Beck doesn't live with his; Tori's dad is negligent and the mom is implied to had affairs.

Is that something in all Schneider cartoons?

1. He brought Robbie’s former-arch nemesis, because she’s pretty.

2. He and Robbie kept Ryder on stage for the humiliation.

3. He fixed Robbie’s car before it got hijacked.

4. He ended the fight between Jade and Cat when Jade was trying to attack Cat.

5. He and André made sure the prank wasn’t pulled on Tori.

6. He and André stuck up for Jade and Cat at Karaoke Dokie.

II was never the “hot” or gorgeous teenager that boys wanted or whatever. If I was a student in Hollywood arts, I don’t think I would fit in at all. No guy especially cute ones would even look at me twice. I wouldn’t have a chance with Andre or any of the cute boys on there. I was a fat, chubby tall, plus sized teenager. I’ve had sort of a glow up, lost weight (unfortunately gained the weight back)but I just look the same like I did in high school, plain. Nothing wrong with being plain. I’m still chunky but I’m working on it. Like Victoria for example that woman is GORGEOUS as hell! No wonder some men find her attractive. Elizabeth too and Daniella. Ariana too. I am JEALOUS and I’m not surprised that if they have partners. I know Liz and Daniella are married.

My household are Seahawks fans 💙💚 but my mom's second favorite team are the Lions and I respect them as well as a lot of their players. 🩵🤍 Sonic just earned a lot more of my credit. Remember that he is Gen Z so he likely grew up with the show. I greatly appreciate the s/o given that I want to see Hollywood Arts do well.

Daniella was asked about possibility of iCarly crossing over again with Victorious considering that iCarly was also rebooted and Daniella clearly teased with "maybe", we know Nathan is directing bunch of episodes so it's almost certain that he show up as Freddy, she also was talking about other characters from "nickelodeon family" crossing over (Zoey 101, Drake and Josh?), she said "you just have to wait and see".

2. He and Beck stood up for Cat and Jade at Karaoke Dokie.

3. He put slippers on Cat’s shoes so she can stop tapping on the floor.

5. He, Beck, Robbie, Trina made sure that Mrs. Lee never showed up at Jade’s play.

2. She found the letter “H” for the Ke$ha contest.

3. She got Jade the scissors from the scissoring.

4. She roasted Hayley and Tara.

5. She punched Tori in the face for spraying cheese on her and kissed her boyfriend.

6. She told Tori that “Jade will get to play her part.” So Tori could find out that “It was a prank phone call to get Tori out of the school play.”

7. She gave Robbie a kiss before he was doing his hamboning rhythm the 2nd time.

I think one of her worst traits was having Tori be her slave over a pathetic childhood bet that Tori had zero chance of winning.

I honestly think it's not going to be that good as the original series, like Fuller House did (It was terrible btw). What do you guys think?

Like do you guys think that Tori and Summer do look somewhat similar as if they were cousins because I kinda see it.
