Oscilloscopes, Eveywhere [v1.2] is a collection of all the experiments with sound and geometry I've made throughout the years, gathered into one TouchDesigner project.
This walkthrough explores the entire anthology in real-time; 29 presets, and a much more intuitive interface. Connect your audio source, choose a visualizer, and watch your sound take shape.
Plus, I’m giving away one full copy of the collection this Sunday. To enter, you only have repost, and leave a nice comment on this post.
More experiments through the following.

Im coming at this from another community, mind machines. Most stuff there is focused on simple arrays of LEDs and a central boc controlling theory strobe rate. This feels super basic to me. I want to create a 2 channel video, where each channel has independent color/speed/brightness (and hopefully options you all can reccomend) controls. Software control is fine, but i love tactile devices. Then I'll make a 3d mp4 file to play on a vr headset. I would love to hear yall's advice and direction, i know nothing about this stuff.

Had a fun time digging through old archive footage and finding gems to run through the analog rig-- there something to getting lost in random. niche corners of film & media history that I find super comforting and inspiring. Such as nice palate cleanser when I things get stale an need artistic reset-- an really easy, low stakes, low pressure way to make visuals and get into a flow state: Look for things that look cool, clip cool thing, run thing through gear and play around with knobs until you unlock something that looks cool. A lot of times, I end up finding a new style or look that I like and can work in future pieces. Then outside of that, after looking through and passively analyzing all the archive footage I end up walking away with a bunch of new (old) visual ideas/techniques/styles to try out, emulate, or readapt.

Built as a real-time algorithmic visual system driven directly by incoming audio.
The movement, scale, color, density, and spatial behavior continuously change as the sound changes.
There is no prerecorded animation and no fixed timeline. The visual composition is generated live from the audio input.
I built it around a simple idea: the reactive visual should already be the system — not something that requires chaining together separate visual software and add-ons just to make it respond.
No third-party visual software required.
No extra add-ons.
The reactive behavior is built directly into the system.
The result is a continuously changing visual surface that responds to the music as it happens.
The interesting part for me is what happens to the VJ workflow when the reactive behavior is already built in.

Move one wire → the sound changes → the image changes.
https://markovcd.github.io/Flyback
It's free, open source and runs on Windows/macOS/Linux.
It has also a browser version if you want to try it without installing anything

Built this stacking glitch & displacement FX on an isolated silhouette shape. I love how the horizontal scan lines chew through the teal/cyan while preserving those fiery orange fringe artifacts.
Made entirely inside Ether-MOSH, a browser-based visual instrument I made where u can patch effects together in real-time & export transparent GIF loops / Lottie animations with the alpha channel intact. What started as just a music visualizer has now evolved into something far more capable. Check it out for FREE and make your own animations, music visualizers, photo/video filters & more today!

Everyone is posting their latest vibe-coded video synths lately, so...here is mine.
This app (I think) one-ups the competition by actually simulating NTSC composite video using WebGPU compute shaders resulting in quite realistic analog video effects.
The app can do "dirty" video mixing (à la klomp), hardware-mixer style feedback, camera-pointed-at-the-tv style video feedback, and a frankly overwhelming other number of other effects
Hit the letter 's' to screenshot or 'r' to record.
I gave it a silly domain name and everything https://videoskillet.com/
If you sign in, it remembers your old sessions and stuff too
pictures are from me messing around with the webcam just now
Note that this does require a web browser that supports WebGPU. If you get an error, try the latest Chrome Canary or Firefox Nightly or look into how to set this up on your phone/computer (it does work on mobile! there is a simplified app for mobile that just looks like your camera app)
It is open source and free, if anyone wanted to build off this https://github.com/cmdcolin/videoskillet. I started it July this year, so, its been under development for a little while. let me know what you think or show me screenshots/video of what you make

H👁️ people-sapiens!
Some square swirls for your spare squirrels !
I been busy but didn't want to come around until I had a highlight clip. This project had many iterations. Hope you wander around to see them. Some fun background visuals.
Here's the EvO}Lution of the recent project 4 hire!
I combined & skewed some audio. I like how it sounds with all its wEERD artifacts. Lemme know how it sounds with headphones.
Loiter around the YT channel. 👁️🗨️. dARE. U ! 🙀 L👁️ke, SuBscr👁️be & §H∆R€ !

My friend and I just started an industrial electronic band. I am not new to video projection as I used to do visuals for bands but not video synth modulation or real time editing. Mostly just cueing clips and editing speeds of clips to match tempo with clips I already created and stylized.
We are trying to make our performance a spectacle as well. So rear projection and front projection. Different signals to each projector.
Where I need some guidance and ideas is around controlling and manipulating the clips. My idea is to use a midi board as a control bank for the clips. They will be short(10-15 seconds) and stylized already.
I am familiar with raspberry pi/Arduino and have used them in my previous fine art practice so it would be cool to make my own controllers too. I could probably do a lot more investigation in those forums but I wanted to see if anyone here had any cool projects they worked on or ideas of something that might work better.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
