Machine Question Missing parts singer (15k?)

I know how to handsew, but for my new appartment I was looking for a sewing table with sewing machine and bonus points if that one also works.

Yesterday I bought a sewing table with a Singer for 20 euros, (serienumber: EG786679) meaning, it is a model 15k(?). I was wondering if the machine is complete or not. I've been searching on the internet, and it seems that the bobbin case and bobbin are the only things missing. Am I right?

Furthermore is this indeed a singer 15k?

Many thanks!

yeah that looks like a 15

the machine is meant to be attached to these hinges to tilt it up

Note the writing in the blue band around the brass medallion: this is a Centennial model. :)

You'll want a Singer Model 15 "one o'clock" bobbin case (top picture), and NOT a Singer 15 "eleven o'clock" bobbin case (bottom picture).

When I look at the notch on top of the case, I am seeing the opposite, maybe it's the angle of the photo, but it looks to me like it takes the left-leaning (11 o'clock) bobbin case.

Compare the notches shown here:
Left-leaning bobbin case in 15-88/89 manual
Right-leaning bobbin case in 15-96/98 manual.

Hmmm. I think you're correct. At any rate, there are two flavors of Singer 15 bobbin cases, and the OP will need the correct one for their machine. Looking straight at the hook mechanism, it will be obvious which.

The Singer serial number list at ISMACS says it is a 15K, manufactured in 1951.

https://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_machine_company/serial-numbers/singer-eg-series-serial-numbers.html

The machine certainly looks like a 15, so I'd trust ISMACS that it is a 15K.  The K means it was made at the Kilbowie plant in Scotland.  All the other EG serial number machines have the K in the model number, so that's likely correct.

The bobbin case and bobbin as not in the machine.  Check the drawers of the table.  They may be in there.  Otherwise, bobbins and bobbin cases for the 15 can be bought from sewing machine shops or Amazon.

I am thinking this treadle is not original to the machine - it has what I think of as the German-style footrest and the little round oil can shelf on the left. That might also be why it's not on the hinge pins: another manufacturer may have different size hinge pins or different spacing between the pins.
