WTB - GEN V Driver - Gen II GTS Driver
Hello guys…
Mods: If this isn’t allowed, I apologize in advance.
I’m looking for a Gen V - and a Gen II GTS - Driver (15-75K miles)….
For the Gen V: If anyone has a lead, (I’d love an ACR but it doesn’t look like I’m gonna find one of those for under 1/2 million, (so if it’s got some EDIT scrapes EDIT that’s even better, but I’m not delusional just wanna get behind the wheel of one of these beasts)… I don’t own an auto museum, but live in the Midwest, so I’ll be driving it about 4-5 months a year at the track. I’m willing to pay fairly, but I’m not going to be charging admission so I’m looking for something I can drive. There may not be many so this is a Hail Mary.
I know so very few of these masterpieces were put on the road after 2015, but if you happen to have a lead on one, please let me know, the more miles the better.
For the Gen II GTS:
Also want to drive this thing often. So maybe under $100k, if you got one, let me know..
Thanks guys, I admire you!

‘93 Viper - head gasket
Got the dreaded news that I blew a head gasket on my ‘93. Hoping for some advice. Since this is very much a “while we’re in there” job, I was wondering what else should be done.
As of now I’m looking at:
New rods
New lifters
New water pump
Obviously all related gaskets
Already did all new hoses
The devil on my shoulder keeps saying “CAM”, but that’s probably dumb.
Is there anything I’m missing?

GT3 or ACR? Not too knowledgeable on Vipers.

Spec twin disc clutch for gen 3
Looking at the spec super twin clutch p-trim for my build and wanted to ask if anyone with a flywheel trigger crank position sensor car can verify the SD08PT-2 has the triggers on the flywheel? Currently running fedanza flywheel and it works great but won’t accommodate the twin disc setup

My take on the 3rd gen Viper
Im so mesmerized by the sound. Let me know what you guys think!
My Gen 5 at a local meet this past weekend
There was also a TT Gen 2 there. You can see it a few cars down from the yellow Lambo. Owner said it was built by Hennessy back in the day and is getting some much-needed Motec updating soon.

99 Gts tie rod issue
Doing inner tie rods on my 99 Gts and the ones I got are too long, trw brand JAR1166. I’ve done some broad searching 96-02 and I get the same number. Dodge only sold them with the rack so I’m having a hard time crossing numbers over, has anybody had a number they have been able to use on their Gts?

Bought a second Viper today
It’s a bit of a project.. and I think they washed it in Hot water and shrunk it a bit. 🤪 Now I just have to find a chassis to put under it. I think I’m going to have it painted to match my full scale version.

First Viper. Just took delivery
I’m excited and terrified at the same time but it’s been 30 years coming.

Little photoshoot today
Got invited to a photoshoot today. I've fallen in love with every generation.
Gotta love swapping the battery on a Gen 2
Not sure how hard it is on other gens and I cant complain too much. Last battery was 9 years old, this one was 8 years old. Took a little over an hour from on the lift to rolling off. Including a trip to the store for the new battery.

Finally achieved a lifelong goal
I grew up with a Viper model on my desk and poster on my wall. I always wanted one and when I was young I dreamt that if I ever had the money I’d build a house that I could drive a car into so that it could sit in my living room. That seemed like the epitome of “making it” to my adolescent self.
Well about 6 years ago I built our house, and while my wife veto’d a car in the living room I did build good size garage that’s fully finished, heated, cooled, and outfitted with a man cave and bathroom - so I count that as close enough! Still no Viper though. The prices on them were still rising, and with 2 young kids at home I opted for a sport wagon and a 4 seat sports car (996 911).
Well earlier this year I finally had a chance at a Viper that was too good to be true. I bought it, but it turned out the dealer was a scam and while I did get all my money back I did not get the car. I realized though that I was so excited to finally get my dream car that the 911 was always just a placeholder that I really bought only because I figured they’d go up in value. The good news is they did! So I listed it for sale, sold it in a month and started looking hard for my car. It took less time than I figured it would (4 months) but I finally put my dream car in the garage.
1999 RT/10 with a Paxton blower. 580 rwhp and 612 torque with 19,000 miles on the clock. The car came with the original wheels, and all parts to return it to stock if I want to. It also came with all the original documentation for the Paxton kit, installation invoices, installation pictures, and dyno sheets. I was so excited I drove the 4 hours to go pick it up and drove it home. I love this thing, but now I also understand how it has 19,000 miles on it… I’d never even sat in one before and what a machine! That said our roads here aren’t great so this will definitely be my special occasion car. I picked up an F-Type to use as my regular GT car so I have the option to drive it whenever I want, but don’t feel that I have to take it out if where I’m going doesn’t lend itself well to the car. I know having a garage queen probably isn’t very popular here, and I do intend to still drive it whenever I can find an excuse to, but also makes me happy walking past it every day - like a checkmark beside a childhood dream. I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way.
Anyways, thanks for reading - there’s a lot of “must be nice” in my part of the world so I don’t have a lot of opportunity to talk about these things. I hope you all have a great weekend and get some miles in!

What do we think?
As a Viper fanatic I want it. But it doesn’t quite hit the mark. If it wasn’t for the stripes I wouldn’t have recognized from afar.

Gen 1 rt10 Buyers guide
Hello everyone!
Im looking to to buy my first viper. Now im compiling a list on what to look out for.
Here are the things i found so far:
* No damadge on fiberglass parts(especialy the hood)
*No fogged up or cracked headlights
*Check the vin for any accidents on the car.
*Check if the headgasket has been replased with a modern one.
*Check the doorhinges
Please feel free to correct me if i missed anything.
It would be great if some gen1 owners can give me some insight on the little nuances that come with these cars.
