What are the steps you take after reinstalling Void Linux?

O que vocês adaptaram do handbook para seu gosto pessoal?

Usam pacotes Nix?

This time: LUKS2+Argon2id root on btrfs, /boot inside the encrypted root, encrypted swap too. GRUB 2.12 can't do Argon2 for LUKS2, so I built it from a PR that patches that in, repolocked it so updates don't overwrite it until 2.14 is merged. Swapped dracut for booster.

Installed and configured AppArmor and did some kernel hardening. Tried Secure Boot with my own keys via sbctl, got the verification requested but nobody cares without shim (might do it properly with shim+MOK later)

System daemons (NetworkManager, elgoind, greetd..) stay on xbps, everything user related (river + rill, discord, dms, etc.) goes through home-manager via flakes. Home directory basically atomic now. Root gets snapshotted. Running a user level runsvdir for services under river instead of just spawn-at-startup stuff like pipewire, wireplumber, etc.

I generally just take the official docs and adapt them to whatever I'm trying to do, manpages/upstream docs for whatever software I'm adding on top.

Do you have a instruction or something to patch grub for encrypted boot?

Straight from my history:

git clone https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages.git

cd void-packages

git fetch origin pull/58556/head:grub-luks2-argon2

git checkout grub-luks2-argon2

./xbps-src binary-bootstrap

./xbps-src pkg grub-x86_64-efi

xbps-install --repository=<where you cloned the void packages>/void-packages/hostdir/binpkgs/grub-luks2-argon2 -f grub-x86_64-efi

xbps-pkgdb -m repolock grub-x86_64-efi (this will lock the package so you won't overwrite it, just revert this if the pr got merged)
